My dog has a little sack with his name on hung up on the mantelpiece. He will be getting a ball, a packet of doggy cheesy nibbles and a fleece tug toy. (but mostly he will enjoy flinging wrapping paper about)

I keep rodents. Just picked up some little nibbly gnaw stacker things and new tubes.

TwigTheWonderKid · 23/12/2023 14:57

Nothing. My cat has everything he needs and doesn't know it's Christmas.

Instead have made a donation to the local cat shelter who are completely overwhelmed by cats surrendered by people who can no longer afford to keep their pets 😥

TeenDivided · 23/12/2023 15:01

The guinea pigs will be getting a snuggle blanket and carrot for breakfast.

The snake will be having Christmas Dinner of one large weaner rat.
I hope he eats it, he has been a bit on and off.

A rat, for our snake. (Nothing special really but I did make the effort to time his fortnightly meal to coincide with Christmas! 😂)

LaChienneDesFromages · 23/12/2023 15:18

Antlers, a vat of treats and a dozen tennis balls.

And lots of veg trimmings/ leftovers!

What snake? (See my post just above yours.)
DD bought herself a banana royal python in the autumn after many months / years of campaigning. We are still learning best feeding protocol!

Alighttouchonthetiller · 23/12/2023 15:20

A few carrots for the horses.
Christmas lunch (turkey, a bit of veg and a splash of gravy for the dog). He will be out of his mind anyway, due to various relatives visiting with their dogs.

gotomomo · 23/12/2023 15:21

Game flavoured chews

EliosBackPack · 23/12/2023 16:13

Alfie has a treats stocking, a tuggy ball and a squeaky toy!

Ifancythegrinch · 23/12/2023 16:18

The rabbit is getting two carrots, which my 3 year old wrapped today and a hay ball thing.

Shes an indoor rabbit and will be chucked all
the veg cuttings as usual, obviously, there is so much more on christmas day, she’ll be stuffed.

HRTQueen · 23/12/2023 16:40

My cat will has a fleece blanket with cats on and a new selection of cupboard boxes he can sit in

he shall also have his little roast dinner Boxing Day dinner and a little dish of chocolate pudding with cream

he has tried to convince us he is now human as he will eat some of what ever we are having (apart from salad and chips)

CantStandMeow · 23/12/2023 16:47

I love this thread!

2x cats here. Santa is bringing them some new toys and fancy treats in their stockings. The DC have chosen some new toys from them to go under the tree.

They'll both have a little Christmas dinner too

Isseywith3witchycats · 23/12/2023 17:05

my cats are getting Whiskas in the morning, cat biscuits at lunch time and another pouch of whiskas at tea time, if the christmas day locusts leave any they may get some of the left over turkey, they are animals not humans i love them to bits but they are not children

This one just helped herself to a bauble. She gives zero fucks. She doesn’t have presents, just me tolerating her frankly disdainful behaviour. She gives a permanent 🖕🏻to the world and I’m here for it.

CuntRYMusicStar · 23/12/2023 17:28

Our dog has been treated to a super soft leather collar. Dd chose him some snacks and he has a new bow tie for his collar so he can look fancy.

Dc also organised a collection amongst the neighbours and via their own pocket money for the local dog rescue so we've taken a box of snacks, food, toys, bowls and blankets down there today.

frankie001 · 23/12/2023 17:30

Radiator cat bed, some dried fish for the cats. The dogs are sharing a delivery of various dried animal sausages!

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 23/12/2023 17:47

There weren’t many Christmas themed cat toys in the pet shop for cats where I went so I got her a Christmas pudding catnip toy and gave it to her early and some catnip spray and a toy which is a knitted bunny or something with a bell inside but has no catnip in it so I’ll spray some on it after it’s unwrapped. She doesn’t need anything else and got a new laser pointer when the old one died recently.

Gwraigygof · 23/12/2023 18:04

It's Christmas at least once a week for my lot, they are ruined! Horses have a big bag of carrots off Nanny, I'll give them a big scoop of Spillers Meadow Herb treats (aka Pony Crack) to forage for in the field. The sheep will have a large scoop of sugarbeet pellets. No new toys for the dog, she already has a chest full (and still prefers pinching clean, rolled up socks out of the wash basket). She eats home cooked food daily anyway, so lunch as usual!

YeOldeGreyhound · 23/12/2023 18:08

Some home made treats. I also wash a few of her toys and wrap them up. They smell new, and she enjoys unwrapping things anyway.
We are staying at my parents for xmas, so she will get spoiled there anyway.

Haha, this cracked me up 😂

Floralnomad · 23/12/2023 18:13

Forgot the pony - she’s got a bag of treats and a new head collar .

IamChipmunk · 23/12/2023 18:30

No pets here anymore but 'dnephew dog' is getting a big dog biscuit with merry woofmass 'iced' onto it and dms cats have a dreamies cracker!
We never leave the pets out 😂

sprigatito · 23/12/2023 18:34

My cats share a stocking. This year they are getting two jingly balls, a catnip carrot, two catnip mice, two mini koosh balls and three different flavours of cat crack (Dreamies)

Isabelle70 · 23/12/2023 18:34

My two dogs have an Equafleece each, a snuffle mat, puzzle toy and a Kickstarter Treat wobble thing which I think was a rip off now it has arrived!

Toooldtoworry · 23/12/2023 18:36

A raw Knuckle bone each. Two have recently had operations so I'm living in hope this will keep them out of trouble!
