Couldn't see a recent thread showcasing Christmas tat for sale and I just had to share this - described as a Christmas Shrimp.

I bloody love the Christmas shrimp!

I'm glad you all like the Christmas Shrimp . I don't know what it's made from, but if I was to guess I would say a wire frame covered in either masking tape or maybe even the crème de la crème that is papier mache, and painted/coloured in.

I have visions of having a dozen Christmas prawns scattered across the table. A brilliant homage to the classic Christmas starter of prawn cocktail. Very kitschy.

Think of it as an investment, a younique heirloom to pass on to your children, your grandchildren, your great grandchildren and ,eventually, the council tip.

I have to be honest, the Twelve Days of Christmas offering is in my own city, i feel I should apologise but it gives such joy every year 😆

I need this in my life, It's in Portsmouth and I'm on the Isle of Wight, It's a sign of goodness knows what - probably that I'm mad.

I've got a jellyfish and a blue whale hanging on my tree - a few Christmas Prawns dotted about would set them off nicely!

They would be delightful conversation starters at a sophisticated Christmas drinks do. You could put nuts on one and wotsits on the other one.

Someone on my fb is selling box frames with 'in case of emergency break glass' written on them...inside the frame is a vape...classy !!!

To be fair, they do say £699 or best offer. I wonder what their best offer so far has been 😂

The Christmas Shrimp is particularly funny straight after reading the thread from the mumsnetter who was annoyed about her SIL bringing prawns to the party

You'd think the bloke (and it has to be a bloke) selling the 12 Days of Christmas monstrosity would have just accepted the sunk costs and given up by now. The sad fact is that despite the painstaking research and hard work, it looks exactly like a Quality Street tin covered in plaster of Paris with loads of plastic shit stuck on it.

I know Die Hard is a Christmas film but not sure about these baubles
