That buses don't run on Boxing Day.
(DS15 wants to go to the local football with friends, I asked how he was getting there he said bus.....)

That shower cream is not good enough. She needs shower gel.

That they’ll need to book the restaurant they want to go to on Thursday in advance.

They may have left it too late already but there’s no chance they’ll get a table for 8 without pre booking.

That I too have been through school and have sat exams and know how stressful it can be.

That they’re beautiful. (I was looking recently at photos from 25 years ago…).

That the dishwasher needs emptying at least every day

That I was ever a credible human being.

And the dishwasher won't kill, harm or maim them.

Local independent shops are shut on Sunday evenings.

Exactly the same as you OP! DS has bought a ticket to a football match 1.5 hours away on public transport. Refused to believe that most if not all of the transport options will not be running on Boxing Day.

That giving them lifts to and from our rural location actually costs money. And time.
