That shower cream is not good enough. She needs shower gel.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 17/12/2023 09:40

That they’ll need to book the restaurant they want to go to on Thursday in advance.

They may have left it too late already but there’s no chance they’ll get a table for 8 without pre booking.

GoodVibesHere · 17/12/2023 09:44

That I too have been through school and have sat exams and know how stressful it can be.

DelurkingAJ · 17/12/2023 09:45

That they’re beautiful. (I was looking recently at photos from 25 years ago…).

fishfingersandtoes · 17/12/2023 09:45

That the dishwasher needs emptying at least every day

DamsonDress · 17/12/2023 09:46

That I was ever a credible human being.

And the dishwasher won't kill, harm or maim them.

MagpiePi · 17/12/2023 09:47

Local independent shops are shut on Sunday evenings.

naughtynine · 17/12/2023 09:47

That they will get old

Violetparis · 17/12/2023 09:47

Flamalotty · 17/12/2023 09:38

That shower cream is not good enough. She needs shower gel.

I always thought they were the same thing !

naughtynine · 17/12/2023 09:47

That they don’t know everything

PepperIsHere · 17/12/2023 09:49

That putting things u to the recycling won't in fact kill you.

That empty cartons don't go back into the fridge/freezer/pantry.

That towels dry better when hung up.

That their parents are human.

bellac11 · 17/12/2023 09:51

That you used to get frost on on the inside of your windows

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 17/12/2023 09:52

That permanent hair colour in a shade wildly different form their own is unlikely to last just 6-8 washes and be gone by the beginning of term.

But mainly that I could possibly ever know or have previously experienced anything

Spinet · 17/12/2023 09:53

That not everything that comes out of your mouth is a criticism of them.

Bigminnie1 · 17/12/2023 09:54

That there are other shops apart from Urban Outfitters and Brandy Melville...

CharBart · 17/12/2023 09:58

Exactly the same as you OP! DS has bought a ticket to a football match 1.5 hours away on public transport. Refused to believe that most if not all of the transport options will not be running on Boxing Day.

RSintes · 17/12/2023 09:59

That giving them lifts to and from our rural location actually costs money. And time.

NotObligedToArgueWithStrangers · 17/12/2023 10:00

That their parents could possibly know anything about anything.

MaryWhitehouseisCOOL · 17/12/2023 10:02

We tell the truth

Purplecatshopaholic · 17/12/2023 10:07

Why is shower cream not as good as shower gel? It’s basically the same thing isn’t it…

PuttingDownRoots · 17/12/2023 10:08

That I'm not a witch who can magic clean uniform and cooking ingredients out if thin air. I need some notice!

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 17/12/2023 10:08

As a teen I didn’t know banks were closed bank holidays.

DamsonDress · 17/12/2023 10:08

That people ever smoked indoors and we didn't have seatbelts.

Well, they believe it now but they had trouble getting their heads round it.

Imagine their horror if they knew that I once travelled in the boot with the dog as a 'treat'.

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 17/12/2023 10:09

That I don't exist just to service each of their individual needs.

Perihelion · 17/12/2023 10:12

But buses from run on Boxing day where I am
