I spent all day exhausted and dying for bed, come upstairs and found a new lease of life. I have the dog beside me, laptop here, netflix on, glass of wine on the go and I have to be up at 7.30 tomorrow.

Fell down a black hole of trying to update my website. Made some progress now can't switch off

Trying to get my 8 day old baby to sleep but I suspect I have at least a couple hours of cluster feeding ahead of me.

I have a cold and sore throat. I was asleep but woke up with a sore head and I'm choked. Naturally the first thing I do is Mumsnet!

I've just been with my fwb!! Defo a good reason to still be awake so late

Flew back from Australia to uk yesterday morning. Slept 12 hours last night. Went to bed at 10am tonight but just woke up. Jet lag is wonderful!

Up with the 9 month old baby.Shes got a cold and not happy tonight.Alarm is set for 6.30am to get the older kids to school 😭

I’m breastfeeding my son.

Combination of cold/cough/sore throat and jet lag. Fell asleep on the sofa at 7. Went to bed at 8. Slept beautifully til 11.20 and awake ever since. Now I'm sat up in bed drinking tea and eating chocolate. I'm craving toast but don't want to get up again to make it.

Another one with a baby. My 9 month old just won’t go into the cot atm. Been trying for an hour but wakes every time I start to lower them down. Treated myself to a sleep consultant for Xmas, so fingers crossed i may start getting a little more sleep soon.

Try putting a hot water bottle in for a few minutes then move it just before you put him in, maybe the coldness if the mattress is waking him

Admitted to hospital last night on an antibiotic drip.it is making me vomit and itch wildly all over.. not conducive to a decent night of sleep.

Also when you have put him down stroke his forehead/ bridge if his nose. Hope this helps.

My husband is away for a week and I’m not used to sleeping on my own. My 16 dd said she’d come in with me. I told her that would be silly but I’ve kidnapped her teddy. 🧸

I started reading myself to sleep then decided i needed water so got out of bed to get some and have now eaten a slice of leftover pizza and wide awake again. I am my own worst enemy.

I am not in the least jealous of the poster with the fwb. Men and their mickeys are dangerous objects.

I went to sleep accidentally at 9.00. I'm now drinking tea and eating leftover roasted sweet potatoes. The cat is convinced it's something he would like...

Trying to decide whether to go back to bed or write some fanfic.

Ive put on a netflix documentary about a woman whose husband tried to kill her in a parachute accident.

I took a nap this afternoon 🤦🏻‍♀️. Plus my daughter has her Cambridge interviews tomorrow (or later today rather) so we are both a bit stressed.

I'm having difficultly sleeping at night at the moment - my habitually night-owl body/brain prefers sleep during the day! Very inconvenient.

Tonight, though, I've been out for a rare night on the piss, food & chat with one of my most loved people in the world. I'm more than half cut, gloriously happy and don't want this night to end! I mean, it has ended but I'm basking in the glow and relying on Mumsnet for continued (drunk) social input 🤗
