If you were a car key where would you be?

We've checked all the obvious places. It's not in the key bowl, any drawers, bags, coat pockets, trouser pockets, on any worktops, under sofa cushions, in the car. We do have a 1 year old but we've checked everywhere we can think that he could have put it!

Behind radiator

Attached to the bunch of keys outside in the front door lock.

Slipped inside the lining of a coat pocket.

In the fruit bowl.

Needmorelego · 03/12/2023 14:06

Does your child have any type of toy car/truck - especially a Cozy Coupe style car?
If yes - check there.

kitsuneghost · 03/12/2023 14:08

In your lunchbag

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 03/12/2023 14:09

Snuggling up in my left slipper 👿

LaurieStrode · 03/12/2023 14:09

Through hole in lining of handbag

PauliesWalnuts · 03/12/2023 14:10

Boyfriend’s coat pocket even though he “already looked there”.

As476 · 03/12/2023 14:11

I once lost my door keys when I had a one year old. They were inside a boot in the shoe cupboard that I didn’t find for 6 months as they were my snow boots. The keys were lost in June 🥴.

jackstini · 03/12/2023 14:11

On the sink by the loo
Or top of the loo
The need to wee as soon as you get in out of the cold is strong!

Suasthuasanuas · 03/12/2023 14:12

Down the back of the dishwasher?
Fallen down between the driver's seat and the central console?
In the coat you forgot you were wearing?
Behind the key bowl?
In the fridge?
Speaking from experience!

muchalover · 03/12/2023 14:13

Anywhere I didn't look with my own eyes 🤬 even when informed to "look properly".

Other places; in the bin, in with the dog, in the fridge, on the roof of the car, in the washing up bowl. All places I have left my purse.

theduchessofspork · 03/12/2023 14:16

Did You tip everything out of your handbag?

Otherwise close eyes and retrace steps - loo is likely but anywhere you walked past - behind kettle, bedside table

Anywhere it could have fallen from where you put it - driveway behind bin, under fridge, sofa, bed

Dobbycraft · 03/12/2023 14:32

Thanks for all the suggestions so far - going to go through them all and try them now

We lost ours on holiday. Searched everywhere.

They were found, over a year and a house move later... in the lining of a bag.

Where did you go in the car last? Where would you have gone when you got home.

fairlygoodmother · 03/12/2023 14:44

Locked in the boot of the car

Flowermarket · 03/12/2023 14:46

One of ours fell behind a radiator for months before the plumber found it.

PenguinBall · 03/12/2023 14:47

In my MIL's car! Luckily I had a smart tag on them so could see where they were. Maybe something for the Christmas list op?! Most useful thing I ever purchased!

declutteringmymind · 03/12/2023 14:47
