One opinion that you have that will never waver, no matter what?..

No men, however they feel, in women's single sex spaces.

yes to this

Lucytheloose · 03/12/2023 14:26

That it's morally wrong to have children if you are not in a position to look after them, practically and financially.

Hardtime · 03/12/2023 14:26

GarlicMaybeNot · 03/12/2023 14:20

Only if they're campaigning to be recognised as men.

There's a very big difference between excluding people on the grounds of their actual sex, and including them because they claim to have changed sex.

The first is about equality between the sexes; the second requires denial of reality.

I don't think that history demonstrates much sophistication of thought from the media or those responsible for policy - usually only the expectation that women will tolerate and accommodate more incursions.

Ultravox · 03/12/2023 14:27

Religion has no place in schools except as an academic subject.

People cannot change sex.

Weed is a terrible drug but is never seen as one.

That'll be why it's perfectly legal all over the world. Oh, wait.

I also do think that if someone is proven to have murdered, they should face the death penalty.

I will never support capital punishment however heinous the crime.

That people who start a thread asking for examples of things should start with their own

😁

Ebokebok · 03/12/2023 13:31

Yes it does and you should therefore know that you never put a coma before and 🙈

Have you never heard of the Oxford comma?

Ostryga · 03/12/2023 14:30

That a dislike of MSG is uneducated and inherently racist.

Yowlingcat · 03/12/2023 14:30

theDudesmummy · 03/12/2023 14:22

@Yowlingcat that is too blunt a view. People who could have employment, but do not "work" (as in are not employed/paying tax), because they are providing essential support to someone else, are contributing to society.

Yes, fair enough there will be people like yourself that would need support. I see that.

ASongOfRiceAndPeas · 03/12/2023 14:31

That Jeremy Corbyn was smeared and so steadfastly removed from his post, precisely so that what is happening in Gaza today could happen without complaint from the UK government and shadow government. Oh and that Priti Patels ‘secret meetings’ with Israeli ministers that got brushed under the carpet also had something to do with it.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 03/12/2023 14:31

That women are born with vaginas

bloodyfreezinghere · 03/12/2023 14:31

Socks with sandals is actually a highly practical and excellent footwear choice.

emmetgirl · 03/12/2023 14:31

The monarchy should be abolished

VanityDiesHard · 03/12/2023 14:32

That affair partners who knowingly help someone cheat are just as bad as the straying spouse.

HarpieDuJour · 03/12/2023 14:32

There is only one thing that I would literally die for: I absolutely will not say that I believe in something which I do not. My conscience won't allow me to.

Unfortunately for me, I live in Scotland and this is becoming a real problem.

(As an aside, my hill to be slightly injured on is pronouns and associated bollocks. I'm bracing myself for not being able to take up the offer of a new job because of it, but we will see. Whatever happens, there will be no pronoun declaration from me. I won't make a huge fuss about it, but I will walk away if I have to.).

Vintagevixen · 03/12/2023 14:32

TW are men and TM are women, non-binary is made up nonsense. No-one can change sex.

StillCreatingAName · 03/12/2023 14:33

That an entire generation has a toxic dependency on their smartphones

ToWhitToWhoo · 03/12/2023 14:33

Religion should never be allowed to trump human rights. (And that extends to non-theist ideologies such as communism and, of course, fascism.)

Illnesses and disabilities exist, and are not cured by harshness.

I really don't think that's the case. Corbyn was in any case not fit for purpose. ETA. You could be on to something about Priti, but Corbyn would never have won anyway and also he is a terrorist sympathiser.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 03/12/2023 14:33

LauderSyme · 03/12/2023 13:52

I totally disagree. Kindness is way more important. Ted Bundy had impeccable manners when he wasn't raping, torturing and killing.

I would argue that the 'raping, torturing and killing' clearly demonstrates that he absolutely did NOT have 'impeccable manners'.

Having good manners means that you make those around you comfortable, not just your very basic p's and q's. Sounds a lot like kindness to me...

LittleGreyTwat · 03/12/2023 14:34

That alcohol is bad for you and should be banned like drugs. It causes too many health problems and issues for emergency services. The world would be a better place without it.

Crispedia · 03/12/2023 14:34

StoorieHoose · 03/12/2023 14:26

Religion should be banned and have no place in laws, education or any decision making

Fair enough re the latter but banned is incredibly intolerant.

EasternStandard · 03/12/2023 14:34

Humans cannot change sex

Men are not women

CatMadam · 03/12/2023 14:35

@lifeturnsonadime

Im not arguing with someone whose opinion towards trans people is based on ‘If we lie and have to call males in women's clothes women’. Seeing so many people chomping at the bit to spread more uninformed hate against trans people in the guise of women’s rights is honestly so disgusting that I’m not going to respond further to any ridiculous anti-trans comments. No matter what silly hypothetical scenario you propose, there’s absolutely nothing that will change my mind on my original point- terfs are silly and trans rights are important. Have a lovely Sunday :)
