Just to lighten the mood, or cause absolute mayhem, my hill to die on is that Michael Buble is shit. Merry fucking Christmas.

Oh it's not just me, thank fook! I LOATHE him as an artist. (I mean he's a nice chap and decent looking,) but his music is dire and his voice is super-annoying (and not even that good!) I don't like modern Jazz, and Swing music anyway. I also dislike Jamie Cullum.

That a five day working week is too much. It is outdated and implies the existence of a 'wife' taking care of the domestic. And it's not lazy to think that.

The literary canon is sacred and must be defended against left-wing academics who want to dismantle it in the name of ‘progressive’ ideology. Just because a writer ticks certain boxes that doesn’t mean they are any good. Writers should be judged on the quality of their work, nothing else. You can ‘decolonise’ as many libraries as you like, I will still be reading Virginia Woolf and Jane Austen and George Eliot. And if I want advice on who to read, I will turn to Harold Bloom or Frank Kermode, not some smug, bullying, sneering woke fanatic.

Thank you. As mum of a trans dd (who incidentally is too scared to leave the house most of the time, and would be terrified to ever use the women’s toilets. And who incidentally isn’t even attracted to women and has a male partner) my heart breaks for her reading the vile hatred on here. These sad people who make it their number one priority to victimise trans people have probably never even encountered one in their lives really need to get a life. I notice they don’t seem to have the same hatred of trans men.

Fruit does not go with chocolate under any circumstances. Chocolate orange? NO. Black Forest gateau? NO. Chocolate goes with nuts,cream,caramel but NEVER EVER with chocolate. End of

It's really not confusing if you think of trans as meaning opposite. Or transitioned into. Began to present as the opposite of what they were (Socially obviously. Biological fact is biological fact)

So trans man is short form of transitioned into male (presenting) from the opposite (biological female)
Trans woman is short form for transitioned into female (presenting) from the opposite (biological male)

This is just about what the terms mean, not the biology of the individuals.

That people of colours lives matter as much as white people.

That all lives matter irrespective of skin colour, to isolate one colour as mattering more is very racist and divisive.

I know right. I feel so sorry for the baby. This woman is someone who has a different 'relationship' with a man virtually every 2-3 months, and no-one knows who the father is. (I don't think even SHE does.)

Since the baby was born, she's had around 7 different 'relationships.' Ranging from a couple of weeks to 3 months. 3 have lived with her.

Her current one has been living with her since 2 weeks after they started dating - which was a month ago. And they both smoke weed most days.

As you said, that poor baby.

No, seriously - that breastfeeding is better for babies than formula feeding.

Not that I disagree with you per se, but this is obviously a bit unfair to those who can't breastfeed for whatever reason...

I don't object if people want to give formula to their babies though. That's up to them.

That the punishment in prisons is meant to be the deprivation of liberty and not poor living conditions.

Every prisoner, no matter what they've done, should have a clean, safe place to live, access to fresh air, exercise and good nutrition as well as leisure activities and enrichment and ability to maintain family lives as much as possible. I think they should be able to vote as well.

Alternatives to prison should be used wherever safe / possible.
