He walks home in a bad area. He never doesn't answer or reply. He lives alone in a house share.

I'm past myself.

I imagine every family who lost a much loved son to suicide thought that too, before it happened.

So glad all is well OP

Definitely. And all the ones I knew appeared fine before.

I didn't suspect this though.

Hi OP just caught up . Am so glad your son is ok . Doesn’t matter how old our children are we still worry…it’s called love ❤️ My darling Mum still worried about us when she was still alive in her 80s . Enjoy your evening.X

I'm glad he's OK. Mine are pre teens so I have this to come and I too would have been worried.

Dh's mum is in her 80s and still worries.

HamstersAreMyLife I worry more now. I remember asking a mother of 6 when do you stop worrying (when ds1 was a toddler). She said you don't, the worries just change.

they were anxious, a poster above has said please contact - your opinion is unfair and wrong

..........in your opinion.

In my opinion, it is spot on.

That is with experience of knowing how stretched the Police are at the moment.

It is also with the experience of not being able to contact an adult child at various times. But you know what I have done ? I've contacted others who know them, who are near them, to see what they know. If need be, for someone to go and knock on their door.
As the parent of people I love who aren't near me, it is just a sensible precaution to have contact details for people near to the dc. I've done this since they started secondary school. Incredibly rare to have to use them, but reassuring to have that option.

What a complete waste of police time.
I hope at least you contacted them straight away once you heard from him, though, of course they've already had to log it by then.

The police won’t be cross. They won’t think she’s wasting resources. Trust me! I do this!

Gointhruhell · 03/12/2023 17:58

The police didn't give a flying fuck. They just said they couldn't say if he'd been arrested or not. Not what we were asking. I know plenty of police btw.

Anyway, his new phone has arrived so my stalking can recommence 😂
Actually he contacted me so he's the pest! 😉

I'm away in the lakes relaxing. And spending. Thanks again all of the lovelies 😍
