Whamageddon 2023!

Anyone else been whammed? We didn't even make it to the end of the first morning of the first day of December!

Ds and I were sitting in the waiting room (we had just arrived for his appointment) and he pointed out that Wham! were on the radio with Last Christmas. I wasn't even meant to be taking him to the dentist but dh wasn't well. Looks like it must've just been my time 😭

Please tell me I'm not alone!

DH phoned a pub yesterday to book lunch. Got Whamageddoned by hold music!

I got done in Sainsburys by their piped music.

I’m still in although to be fair I wfh and yesterday the only time I left the house was to walk the dog and go to the post office.

I think I got caught out on Tik Tok last year.

I work in primary schools and a lot of them have Christmas music playing in their performances, parties and Christmas dinners but last year I managed to get all the way to Christmas Eve.

Reverse Whamageddon? Is that like, try to hear it as often as you can, without playing it yourself, and the winner hears it the most? If so, that sounds fun!

Christmas shopping today AND yesterday. Amazingly still in.
DS1 got whammed first day but he will go to Christmas parties!!
DS2 told me it was played at school but he had warning and covered his ears..bending the rules slightly surely.

Me and DD, both out on Day 1. I was annoyed, but it's one less thing to think about in the run-up to Xmas.

A few years ago I made it to Xmas eve, and had to avoid the radio for a month.

It doesn't count before 1st December so you might still be in 🤞

If I hadn't been out on Friday, I would have been out today - I heard it twice! Once at panto and again at singing practice.

I'm out - someone put the radio on at work and I could hear it whilst I was serving a customer.

I was out by 8am on the 1st December last year as DD2 decided to play Christmas music to open her advent calendar. She was under VERY strict instructions this year 😁

I'm still in but my husband now knows about it and walks around the house saying: Alexa, play... and I run from the room. If he remembers "play everywhere" I will be done! I hope he gets bored before he catches me out.
