I would like to make a complaint about this product called Menopause

When I was first informed that the product was a replacement for the frankly stupid Menstruation, I was quite excited and looked forward to it immensely.
I was not aware that I would have to accept installation of Perimenopause and all its accompanying attachments: weight gain, being hot ALL THE TIME, insomnia, increased sensitivity to allergens, brain fog, incredibly heavy periods.
My skin became very dry for 10 years. Then last year I apparently became a teenager again. I have had to change ALL of my makeup and skin products to accomodate this. While not expecting financial compensation, I am making a request in the strongest terms that these automatic updates cease.
I was not informed that giving up caffeine and alcohol would also be included in the package. Needless to say, I would not have accepted delivery had I known.
The actual cessation of Menstruation has been quite satisfactory, but I would like to suggest that the product needs a revamp - indeed, a complete overhaul to eliminate the extras. Some indication that the product is a long term installation and not a one off would also be a great improvement in product information.

Love it 😂

It’s almost as if they did no user testing before they rolled it out

Couldn’t agree more!

Have you sent your complaint to the CEO (probably a man)?

SingingSands · 29/11/2023 18:32

Brava OP 👏🏼

I did NOT request the insomnia bolt-on but it appears to have been installed anyway...

AgnesX · 29/11/2023 18:36

The human body is like a bit of software.

Fantastic when it works but riddled with bugs. Clearly it wasn't tested properly before release (probably overspend at the design stage) and the technical documentation is non existent.

MrsMoastyToasty · 29/11/2023 18:36

I've heard that the next product on the market, Old Age, comes with it's own issues too.

newyeardelurker · 29/11/2023 18:48

😂

🤣😅 btn a rock and a hard place.

Awful serves no purpose, better than death

wildwestpioneer · 29/11/2023 18:50

It's the fact that alcohol and sweets now seem to result in heart palpitations at night - I DID NOT sign up for that!

CalistoNoSolo · 29/11/2023 18:51

You should have signed up for the Give No Fucks What Anyone Thinks About Me bolt on. It (nearly) makes it all worth it.

Missingmyusername · 29/11/2023 18:51

😂 love it! Also the extra weight gain which takes twice as long if not more to burn off than before meno. Yay.

RestingCatsArseFace · 29/11/2023 18:52

I suggest you turn off updates before you get the thyroid imbalance one, they sneak it in without any warning.

newnamethanks · 29/11/2023 18:54

Full of glitches then followed, as above, by bloody Old Age. Ouch. Everything hurts but the alternative is worse.

Summerhillsquare · 29/11/2023 18:56

I think (as per bloody usual) this defective product must've been designed by a man!

YorkieTheRabbit · 29/11/2023 19:19

I have had to purchase yet another product, HRT, to rectify certain issues. I was completely unaware that having accepted Menopause, it came with night sweats, crap sleep and temper surges. I did not see this in the small print, add poor eyesight to list of symptoms.

StiltonPort · 29/11/2023 19:26

Failure of pelvic floor muscles seem to be included in my downgrade too. No user manual and updates also seem to be failing to install.

Mischance · 29/11/2023 19:27

Menstruation is simply a bloody design fault.

Notimeforidiots69 · 29/11/2023 19:36

I totally agree here!!! Wasn't told about the horrifically dry vajayjay either and the inability to be able to insert anything thicker than a pencil!!! Or the fact that the itchy isn't actually thrush!!! So I bought me some pessaries... The ones the nice doctor from Embarrassing Bodies advertises... Absolutely great.. Except what she doesn't mention that it can strip an entire nail of polish off in one piece... (Yet it took me an hour and a half and a buggered wrist to get the rest off!!!)
Maybe I should have just mashed a couple up and pasted it over my nails! And other than the hot/cold/hot/cold, the loss of half my hair and the constant need to pee absolutely right this minute, immediately, hell, it's a breeze... 🙄🙄🙄

BreakfastAtMilliways · 29/11/2023 19:37

These issues are specific to the XX model. It seems that the problem stems from a feature unique to this particular model, Reproduction. This module, though extremely popular, and initially enjoyable to use, is resource-heavy and comes with several potentially complex and problematic upgrades, of which Menopause is the final one. (See also Menstruation, Sexual Intercourse, Pregnancy, Childbirth).

Menopause is the Reproduction shutdown upgrade, installed in order to reduce wear and lengthen the total operational lifespan of the XX model. There may be a number of consequences affecting hardware and function, the most serious of which can be alleviated with administration of appropriate licensed chemicals.

BreakfastAtMilliways · 29/11/2023 19:45

@Notimeforidiots69 use the pessaries with an applicator next time and save your fingernails.

They would of found many defects if they had

BookWorm45 · 29/11/2023 20:33

Clearly a failure to adhere to good practice and review appropriate risk mitigation in the project by running a pilot phase. The only answer can be extra training for all staff involved in creating this product.

You see, my thyroid imbalance and meno hot sweats have (so far) cancelled each other out, it's quite nice to not be So Fucking Cold all the time.

The insomnia, middle age spread and is she/isn't she coming this month are NOT worth it though.
