Does anyone vape in the loos at work?!

Just curious!

I work for a very large, very professional corporation, but a couple of times a day, I go to the loo and have a few crafty puffs. (Very non-smelly, fairly inoffensive type of vape that doesn't produce enough smoke to set off alarms)

It's highly unprofessional, but im just wondering how common it is! I can't be the only one!

I don’t as I don’t vape but judging by the smells in our toilets, many people in my office do despite explicit instructions from company owners that it is not allowed.

It’s an open secret where I work. An inside joke we have is who has had a shit in the vaping room? 😅😅😅

That's inconsiderate. Many people are affected by artificial scents alone, let alone the other chemicals in those things. Do it on your break outside!

I’ve always just assumed an alarm would go off so no, never tried indoors in a public space

My ex hated me vaping but he did admit that he couldn’t smell it (vuse creamy tobacco)

Doesn't it trigger the smoke alarm? I'd be well pissed off if I found someone doing this, I can't stand a waft of it when I'm behind someone in the street.

Please don’t. Why should other people have to walk into a plume of chemical vapours just because you can’t wait until you get outside?

I don't vape but everyone that does vapes in the loo at my workplace. It's always full of perfume/body spray/air freshener pongs anyway

I've never had a vape set off a smoke alarm and I've vaped all over the place - hotel rooms, toilets, trains, Megabus, everywhere really apart from planes. I doubt it would set the alarm off in the plane either tbh but I don't really want to find out.

I used to do this and to be honest, that’s how I recognised that I had a problem and went cold turkey.

it’s a bit scary to think that you have to risk your job to vape in a bog. I’d never do that smoking.

i got myself some Nicorette gum and pushed through. Took about three days to not reach for it but It’s SO good to be free of it. (And I’ve saved £240 in one month it got to the point I was vaping one elf bar a day!) I can only encourage you to do the same. It’s the most addictive thing I’ve ever been addicted to.

The alarms don't go off. They are rife in schools sadly.

Poo smells but you’re not breathing in chemicals. I think like smoking there will be a day of reckoning for vaping in future where we find out just how bad for you it really is. And what you’re doing will be seen as second hand smoking for the people who have to put up with it.

Oh honestly. Vaping is gross - like adults sucking on their dummies - and made even worse by said adults not being able to wait to be outside. The entitlement of thinking everyone wants to breathe in your chemicals!

I don't know if yabu but the trend is to cape everywhere so you at least are not alone.
To my mind It seems so madly addictive! People who wouldn't dream of lighting up a cigarette in public happily suck on these all day long. You see people doing the "sneaky" vape in all pubs, or trains, and offices- regardless of rules / signs or announcements begging them not to.

Teens everywhere are absolutely hooked on them. They're littered everywhere through all of our cities. What is causing this utter utter devotion to them in almost all walks of life/ across all age groups/ social classes? if not extreme addiction?

It's disgusting and thoughtless to smoke sickly sweet chemicals in the toilet. Go outside. Yes toilets sometimes smell like shit but that's what they're designed for.
