If you don't like tattoos

Can you say why?

I'm fed up of people who think those with tattoos are rough arsed bikers, thick or common.

So many people talking about whether tattoos are "attractive"! Who cares? That's not the point of them.

I don't hate tattoos but I would never get one. I don't think they look good. That's my personal opinion. I think probably more people have tattoos now than don't so it's a very common (as in "commonplace") thing to do. It's just not for me.

I don't hate tattoos, almost got a small one once but chickened out. However, I do hate the newish craze for women, particularly, having them all over their legs and the increase in neck tattoos. To me it just looks really weird and unattractive.
I think where they were once considered a bit edgy and rebellious they are now so ubiquitous that it seems more rebellious not to have one.
My DS doesn't have any but his partner does. A couple of them are OK but she has two quite prominent ones which I hate. I fully accept that's her choice but in my opinion she would look so much better without them.

Is it not? I must be very vain then because I would never choose to make a permanent mark on my body that didn't make me look better.

Looking "better" is subjective. I personally think my tattoos make me look better. I know that they are not attractive to some people, and I'm not trying to make myself look attractive. I'm doing something that I personally like the look of.

Many people get them to mark a significant event, or to make a statement in a way that can only be expressed visually, or to change themselves because it's a time in their life when they need to do so.

Not everything about the way you look is about attractiveness! You can make meaningful changes that have nothing to do with looking "good" or "bad".

Some tattoos are beautiful but those are rare. Most tattoos are too cheap to justify space on someone’s body.

I am a bit weirded out by Norse / Māori tattoos on young guys from Sussex. Those designs probably mean something important but Seb just got it because it looks sick.
