At what point of the day do you think there's no point getting up and dressed?

I'm still in my PJs in bed, I've spent the morning reading. I don't feel 100%, I'm not always this lazy.

It feels pointless getting up and dressed now, and a waste of clean and fresh clothes. It feels half the day has gone so I may as well stay in PJs all day.

At what point of the day do you think there's no point getting dressed?

3pm

I'm obviously far lazier than you!

Vettrianofan · 12/11/2023 11:14

Have just got in from a 2hr ramble with family. Couldn't imagine being in PJs all day 😂

Mamato29192 · 12/11/2023 11:14

I'm still in my jarmies and won't be getting changed!

RaisinsOfMildAnnoyance · 12/11/2023 11:14

All bets are off when you're ill. But I do find it depressing to sit around in pj's all day, and even when I'm ill I usually change into a clean set after a shower. Somehow it helps.

TheresaCrowd · 12/11/2023 11:15

At no point really.

If I don't get dressed, have a wash, brush my teeth and hair, I just feel really tired for some reason.

PeaceBreaksOut · 12/11/2023 11:15

9pm, but I'm a nightowl. If for some reason I'd been in bed until 9 I'd still throw some clothes on, probably go out and catch my daily Pokémon and grab a pint of milk from the shop.

Andanotherone01 · 12/11/2023 11:17

I’m still in PJs watching a Christmas film with DD. I will get dressed in an out or so and go grocery shopping. DH has gone for a cobweb blowing walk.
If you are ill though OP, then frankly you can do what you want without guilt!

Andanotherone01 · 12/11/2023 11:17

*Hour!

NancyJoan · 12/11/2023 11:17

Never. Even if I’m ill/horribly hungover, I get showered and dressed (into joggers and a tshirt, not real clothes). I hate the feeling of not being showered.

roarrfeckingroar · 12/11/2023 11:18

Never unless I'm very unwell. It would feel horrible to not shower and dress of a day. Even when I had a tiny newborn.

Frenchfancy · 12/11/2023 11:18

Never. I would have to be seriously ill to not get out of bed, brush hair and teeth and put an approximation of clothes on (especially clean knickers). They may just be joggers and a hoodie but I would be dressed

samthebordercollie · 12/11/2023 11:19

Never, I don't have PJs and as soon as I wake up 6 or 7 am I either go for a long run or do weight training. I couldn't imagine staying inside all day, I'd have to be really ill to do that.

ladeluge · 12/11/2023 11:20

There are far too many Puritans and Judgmental dicks around who just well, judge others based on their own military precision in everything.

Do what you want to do, who cares?

Wherethewildthymeblows · 12/11/2023 11:20

Some time in the afternoon. I'm another slugabed and am often in my pj's till late morning. I'm about to shower and dress now, though I've been up since 8. Although im lazy, I do find staying in pj's all day the most depressing thing. But if you feel unwell, there is no reason why you shouldn't indulge yourself.

roarrfeckingroar · 12/11/2023 11:20

I find it a bit weird to not exercise every day, even if just a decent walk, unless very unwell.

Doyoumind · 12/11/2023 11:20

I always get dressed, even if it's changing into something cosy. I hate the thought of not getting washed and into something else, whatever the time. I would say even up to 3pm there's a point in dressing. Pre noon most of the day is left so no excuse.

SusanSHelit · 12/11/2023 11:21

I'm still in pj's and so is ds.

We'll get dressed in an hour or so, maybe get some lunch out and buy some groceries and something easy for dinner

We both have a very full on week ahead so I have no intentions of running around doing busywork today. We need a restful day

SparklingSparkle · 12/11/2023 11:23

I’ve never experienced this. I always have something I need to do.
Does this life exist? Like fairies and unicorns I’ve heard tell but never thought to see the like…..
Bloody good for you. You may be my new hero.

EarringsandLipstick · 12/11/2023 11:25

It's only 11:24! How is that 'half the day'?

You've had a relaxing morning especially as not feeling well. That's good

Now, plenty of time to get up & dressed & make a plan for the day

EarringsandLipstick · 12/11/2023 11:27

And in answer to your question, I'd always get up & dressed. I'm sometimes in PJs while I clean but I'll always shower & change, maybe after a run and maybe just into leggings & a hoodie but a day spent fully in PJs would leave me very depressed (as I am usually in low mood on Sundays anyway).

LearnFromMyMistakes · 12/11/2023 11:28

If your not feeling well, l wouldn't worry too much. Although getting up for a while and quick shower, fresh clothes or pyjamas can make a difference, along with a nice clean sheet and pillowcase.

aSofaNearYou · 12/11/2023 11:30

You must be an early bird if you think 11am is too late to get dressed and there's no point! That's just a lie in, it's a perfectly normal time to get up on a restful day and get dressed.

Personally I'd probably be thinking there was no point if it got to evening, but it wouldn't happen as I feel groggy until I've had a shower so always do.

Pipistrellus · 12/11/2023 11:31

Sunset in winter, assuming I don't need to nip to the shop. That is the earliest I would change into pyjamas. I don't think I have ever stayed in them past 10am, I'd just feel crap doing that. I need to shower and dress even if I'm going to spend the day unwell on the sofa, though it would be from pyjamas to tracksuit bottoms and hoodie.

LlynTegid · 12/11/2023 11:31

At no point either. I would feel unclean. Even during 2020 when I would not be going out until an afternoon walk I would be ready and dressed as if to leave the house before starting work.
