Swimwear for us hairy ladies!

I've hit a point in my life where I just don't have the time or the will to remove excess pubic hair before swimming (or at all generally!). I have dark hair and genetics means I'm fairly hairy, my pubic hair grows at least an inch down from the swimwear line so if I don't shave - it's obvious. To me anyway. I do trim from time to time, but its still visible unless I shave or wax etc which I'm trying to avoid and I'd just love to go swimming and not have to worry at all about what state I'm in!

Does anyone have any recommendations for swimwear that will cover my upper legs/pelvic area and not look too naff? I'm thinking along the lines of boyshort style bottoms but in a suit rather than bikini (my tummy is also shot since kids).

I think if you're looking for something that's not just a boring legsuit then a tankini with shorts is going to be easier to find than a swimsuit

Whilst seafancy looks like it has great choices, the reviews are crap for them on trust pilot so I'm going to avoid.

I'm surprised there aren't more options in the usual high street shops, aren't there lots of ladies that feel the same and don't want to have to "prepare" for swimming?!

I think I got my swimdresses from Simply Be and from Anazon. There were loads and they are very flattering

The DHB legsuits are good, i bought one mainly because it was the only suit I could find that was long enough in the body, but the advantage of it is not having to constantly one's bikini line. Short leggings and sports top plus t-shirt if you don't fancy flashing your pits.

Otherwise rest assured no one will notice, or even look. Or care.

For this reason I've bought nice bikinis with shorts from Regatta and Decathlon, not sure if either of them do tankinis as an alternative, but might be worth a look.

I have a lovely one that’s a swimsuit with just slight shorts shape at the end of it, covers the first inch of my thighs which are the same as yours! I’ll find it in a few minutes and report back with the brand, I bought it on an Irish sportswear website but definitely also saw it on sportsdirect website.

I wear a tankini with shorts, I got it from Amazon for under £20.

Swim dress from amazon - I’m short, fat and hairy. Loads to choose from. Feels very secure when swimming. I slip a poncho towel on after showering.

Does the skirt bit not get quite annoying when swimming, and then stick to your legs when wet?

@TastesLikeStrawberriesOnASummerEvening i don’t notice it at all when swimming - backstroke, breaststroke and front crawl are my limits. I would imagine if you dive / do racing turns or butterfly it might do.
My swimsuit skirt does cling to my legs when I get out, but as it hides my old lady hair etc it’s a price worth paying!

The big drawback (for me) is that is does take a long time to drip dry at home. Longer than a standard Speedo swimsuit.
