Where is the STORM!!

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 02/11/2023 12:37

I love weather.

It’s dark, gloomy and raining heavily.

But it’s missing some oomph!

We’ve had weather warnings. I need some drama.

OP posts:
TheYearOfSmallThings · 02/11/2023 12:38

I want no drama thank you! If the rain would just fuck off that would be enough for me.

CandyLeBonBon · 02/11/2023 12:39

Go to Jersey. They've had plenty of drama. Or Hastings. Or parts of Hampshire.

flufferknutter · 02/11/2023 12:40

There is no storm. It's the usual weather related hysteria 🙄 everything is exaggerated now.

TeddyBeans · 02/11/2023 12:40

South coast here, was expecting to be absolutely thrashed today. The wind is barely tickling the trees and we haven't had any substantial rain since 9am. Storm? What storm 🤣

PickAChew · 02/11/2023 12:44

Maybe just open the BBC news site and see for yourself. Plenty of drama for other people for you to rub your thighs at. Some deaths and injuries and plenty of near misses for you to relish 😠

EvilElsa · 02/11/2023 12:45

Where do you live? If you look at the news plenty of poor people have had their windows smashed, floods, cars wrecked...I'm grateful I haven't had that. I'm pretty sure they'd all swap places with you.

SisterMichaelsHabit · 02/11/2023 12:46

I am very happy with dull.

NopeNotMe1 · 02/11/2023 12:46

Kent coast

Have you not seen the pictures of Newry? Or do you think they were staged in a fish tank with toy cars?

This. Very bad taste post OP

People of the south coast, and Channel Islands would beg to differ: amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/nov/02/storm-ciaran-schools-closed-travel-disrupted-uk-amber-warning

GoodnightJude1 · 02/11/2023 12:51

We’ve had light drizzle and a very tame breeze in Cambridgeshire. Just back from walking the dog and the sun is coming out. Feel very fortunate that we’ve not been affected, as my family in Brighton are being battered by rain and wind!

Smurfmurf · 02/11/2023 12:51

You can get on a train and come up to Brechin and see the devastation from the oomph you are seeking?

VeridicalVagabond · 02/11/2023 12:55

Fingers crossed for you OP, hope a tree crushes your car or the wind smashes out all your windows!

What a stupid, thoughtless post.

Lansonmaid · 02/11/2023 12:56

Come down to Cornwall- trees down all over the place and lots of power cuts. Having spent a nervous few hours last night and early this morning worrying about our roof I'd quite happily have a dull period of weather right now.

NeverTrustAPoliceman · 02/11/2023 12:57

A colleague has just told me the roof has come off a relative's house. Do I assume she's making it up or is there actually a storm in parts of the country?

Rather insensitive OP don't you think?

FoleyHuck · 02/11/2023 12:57

It was in Jersey, and think yourself lucky you weren't.

And some rich people too, it seems.

Exactly, the OP is being really fucking crass.

What a stupid thing to say. What the fuck is wrong with you?

Can you see that your drama is someone else getting flooded out of their house, their business ruined or even losing their life?

It's not funny.

TheShellBeach · 02/11/2023 13:00

FFS OP four people died in the last storm in Scotland a couple of weeks ago.

The A816 road is still closed due to a collapsed bridge.

Have some sensitivity.

Ohhh I like the sound of that.... where are the articles? Can't find them?

LegendsBeyond · 02/11/2023 13:02

Oh grow up. People have had their houses trashed. Some have power cuts. What a stupid post.

itsgettingweird · 02/11/2023 13:02

WTF is wrong with you?

I'm Hampshire coast.

I'm EXTREMELY grateful the storm tracked further North than than expected.

Having seen the devastation bestowed on those unlucky enough to be in its path.

That could have been what I experienced. I wouldn't have wanted that drama.
