All those who have donated need to put themselves in the position of the two athletes with their 3 month old baby in the car. And remember the anxiety that any new parent feels, then compounded by the harassment of the police for merely driving a nice car and being black.

HMRC need to get their hands on that money before a hacker from outside of Europe does. Although on second thoughts it would be excellent news if a hacker from another continent siphoned it all away. Justice at its finest.

So why can't police be more careful about young black men..if it's mostly young black men carrying knives?

That's a racist trope, white youths are statistically more likely to be carrying knives.

What I don't understand is, it seems likely it was the car number plate that was flaring up the incessant stops.

If it becomes clear to officers that someone has only recently purchased a car and the current owners are perfectly innocent, why don't the police update or remove whatever's causing the number plate recognition flare up?

Or is it literally that the police are going to pull over any young black person in a high value vehicle? If so, does that relate to particular areas?

I think you must have to own a special kind of nose to join the Met. A nose that can manifest the smell of cannabis, at will, where there is none. That will explain it. I'll be absolutely astonished if many of these donations turn out to not exist.

I know plenty of bad drivers. None of them to my knowledge are pulled over once a month. This is too simplistic and ignores what we have known for years, black people are targetted more for stop and search.

There is a difference between saying a whole group of staff are racist and the 'organisation' is racist. Its also misogynist.

There is plenty of evidence to show the force is institutionally racist and misogynistic. I would show my arse in Westminster if the same is not repeated in every force across the UK. @Redlarge is absolutely right.

They resigned because a 'suspect' was shot. Said 'suspect' turned out to be an innocent man. They didn't ask questions they just murdered him...that's what it was.

The bottom line is officers were upset he didn't get away with murder.

Are the met meant to avoid any black men or women in searches ? To
Avoid being labelled racist ? What when suspects are black ? What then ? How do you , the public , want them to deal with this issue ?

I don't work in the met and I wouldn't for treble pay . Not a chance .

But I'm really interested to know how people want gun/knife/drug and gang crime tackling in the capital.

My fear is this is going to become a Rotherham- where being accused of being racist will simply allow ethnic groups to run amok with impunity , as happened with the grooming gangs in Rotherham. Fear of being called racist meant no one did anything when children were groomed and raped .

I would love to hear the answers from the public perspective.

I don't know about this. If the police lied the then should 100% have been sacked. However, I find it surprising that people think that Bianca Williams and Partner shouldn't have been stopped. Their driving was reckless. 32mph in a narrow street with a 20mph speed limit is incredibly selfish and dangerous. Why would anyone drive like that then be surprised they have been stopped by police. I struggle to feel any sympathy towards them.
There are plenty of law abiding decent people from ethnic minority groups who don't feel the need to drive recklessly and put others at risk.

Likely the met needed fall guys . So who is lying - seems to me that the panel are to find fall guys for the mets disgrace in other areas. Sack 2 to get off the hook .
