When the Police stop you with blue lights and you drive off at speed, what should they do ?

When the cops put their blue lights on, they'd pulled into the main road, to the right of the car. They then chased the car, which pulled in soon afterwards.

So, they did stop, but may initially have thought that it didn't concern them.

Dos Santos had been stopped five times in four weeks, prior to the stop in question, with no charges, or warnings. Nothing was found and no action was taken in this case *because they had done nothing wrong!"

SinnerBoy · 02/11/2023 02:23

SammyScrounge

I d be happier if the athlete had been charged with dangerous driving. They were guilty of that after all.

Cutting a corner like that, with no pedestrian, bicycle, or other vehicle would not nearly meet the criteria to be charged with dangerous driving.

I say that as a cyclist and biker, who is regularly cut up at junctions, by idiots turning in on my side, when I am waiting.

capabilityfrowns · 02/11/2023 02:32

Can I just show you all something , to illustrate the dangers faced by ordinary men and women doing a job and maybe , show why searches are necessary.

I know you'll all pile in and say tough shit that's what you signed up for etc .

But for context I'm a woman , always fair , never been heavy handed or done an illegal search .

I just want to show what we face . Im not in London .

capabilityfrowns · 02/11/2023 02:40

This was a routine job . I went with a probationer . Firearms heard the job come in and backed me up thank god .

This was around 5 years ago when I was mid 40s , I've got two children who I'd like to see into my old age preferably

The zombie knife was down the suspects trousers .

The reality of policing is this. This is why searches are necessary at times . It keeps your kids safe . It takes people who think it's fine to carry and own this stuff off the streets

capabilityfrowns · 02/11/2023 02:41

I couldn't post the axe . 3 photos max per post .

capabilityfrowns · 02/11/2023 02:43

I was shot at with that gun.

Jellyx · 02/11/2023 02:48

How do we know the offices were lying about the smell of cannibas? The news articles doesn't say if the couple were tested for cannibas use? It also doesn't say whether CCTV footage was reviewed regarding dangerous driving- it's possible the police were eye witness to this only?

So because no drugs were found and not cctv the police are suddenly lying?

The police are busy enough..they don't need to give themselves work!

And before we pull out the race card..many of the police are ethnic minorities and entire areas of london are mostly non-white.

Bet there'd be complaints if the police only patrolled and intervened in white areas. Plenty of people are stopped by the police and never convicted in court- crap all to to do with race. I'll be donating.

Watch the original video. Of the actual arrest and her crying and pleading to not be separated from her baby in the back seat. See how much sympathy you feel then.

Makes my blood boil.

Plenty of drug using parents around.

I've seen drug users crying they've had their child taken away..then 2days later forget they had a visit because they were too busy thinking about drugs.

@SeventhIdiot The police are a racist organisation, so I can’t see that happening to any significant extent any time soon!

What a load of rubbish!!! The police have plenty of non white people in their ranks. It's wild to say a whole group of staff is racist!! Wild!!!

No wonder no-one wants to join the police so they're severely understaffed..then people moan the police do nothing. Then when they do..they're fired Blush

SinnerBoy · 02/11/2023 02:51

And? None of those things apply in this case.

Jellyx · 02/11/2023 02:52

Mackeroo · 30/10/2023 14:18

No wonder people don't trust the police. They just never change.

So dumb. Go and work a day in the police - I would LOVE for you to see the constant constant constant abuse they get daily.

It's crazy how people complain about a whole organisation? Are ALL doctors or ALL teachers or ALL nurses lazy or rude or crap?

MaryJanesonabreak · 30/10/2023 16:07

I was thinking about this last night and talking to a friend, in my 43 years of driving, I’ve been pulled over once. It was foggy and one of my lights was out. The policeman asked me to get it fixed when I got home.
My friend lives in London, he said he gets pulled over on average about once a month. Guess who’s white?

Or your friend is a bad driver?

capabilityfrowns · 02/11/2023 02:53

So I totally understand why the fundraiser has done well, we got told to search people by our seniors , they want the glory when we find stuff like this in my pics

When that's questioned the officers who probably did the same got chucked under a bus

In not advocating lying , and if the officers did lie , fair enough but the findings of the disciplinary panel are so out of kilter , I've read the findings

None of the conclusions of the panel make any sense

It seems they just needed scapegoats to get the heat off the higher ups .
And that's just not fair . Two people lost their jobs , for doing their jobs and that's what it looks and reads like from the Findings of the panel .

Cops really do not like corrupt cops . You won't believe that , it it's true .

Jellyx · 02/11/2023 02:54

Also- if the drug gangs are predominantly non- white then who do you think the police should randomly search?

Basic math would then say non/white people are looked at more often???

Jelly it's not about ethnicities, if you work an area that's predominantly ethnic minorities it stands to reason the criminals within that community will be the same .

I've worked loads of different communities, the crime is committed by those within it ,

Jellyx · 02/11/2023 02:58

MrsTerryPratchett · 31/10/2023 03:16

2021-2022

"there were 27.2 stop and searches for every 1,000 black people, compared with 5.6 for every 1,000 white people"

Do you have the stats for how many people got caught dealing drugs and what was their racial makeup??

Jellyx · 02/11/2023 03:02

Completely agree!!!

''Why don't police tackle knife crime''...umm they are?!? Do these people think police will find knives/drugs on 100% of people they search??

And who should be searched most?? The demographic that are mostly commuting the crimes

capabilityfrowns · 02/11/2023 03:07

The majority of criminals I've dealt with are white , because the majority of the communities I've worked in are white

When I worked for 3 years in a predominantly Asian community, the criminals were of the same ethnic group because that's the demographic of the majority

GrittyTunnocks · 02/11/2023 06:22

Amazing our local bobbies have so much time on their hands isn’t it.

Are the drugs gangs predominantly non white? We have a huge gang problem in my town and the population and therefore the dealers, are overwhelmingly white.

Because more black people are involved in crimes.

Areyou a met officer or just a common or garden racist spouting off at 2 in the morning?

DrinkingMyWaterMindingMyBiz · 02/11/2023 07:33

I’m not even responding to the idiot on the thread. They can only be one of three things:

  • a troll
  • a racist
  • a police officer who’s too thick to understand what institutional racism is and upholds it with their lack of intelligence and deep rooted racism.

Or an amalgamation of those points.

Sometimes I wish broadband providers would require some sort of basic intelligence test before letting idiots loose on public forums. 🙄

Mackeroo · 02/11/2023 08:01

I don't deny that the police have a difficult job. I also know there are plenty of good police officers (I've worked alongside them). But there are also a lot of rotten apples and yes, a fair chunk of society do not trust the police and with good reason.
