I keep seeing mixed reports. It’s really unsettling not to know.

No you are completely right, a bunch of subject matter experts just went, “I could look at footage/pictures from a variety of sources to apply my knowledge and put my professional reputation on the line to try to solve this mystery that the entire world seems deeply interested in and has blown crisis talks off course…. Nah fuck it…I’ll just repeat what the IDF says”.

Maybe just maybe Hamas and Islamic Jihad just have shit rockets.

The IDF handed the SME the evidence to review, do you not see how already that stops any independence and throws out anything that this article states

@Ididivfama So what do you think OP or did you just start yet another thread just to get everybody riled up again ?

I thought they may be something up to date and official…

Some of you really need to take a moment and reflect on how you would be feeling in this situation if you were on the 'other side'. I've been reading posts since this started and the lack of humanity is glaring.
Life is life and right now we should all be calling for a de-escalation and an end to this. Some of you seem to just be justifying actions, it really is hideous.

I agree that none of it is justified.

Although she sounds slightly disappointed, she does concur that it was likely a misfired rocket and that Israel is telling the truth.

Again based on the evidence shared by Israel

Remember when Israel denied shooting Shireen Abu Akleh and blamed it on the Palestinians?

They have form for this.

Of course it was Israel. You are all so gullible.

Why would Israel bomb a hospital in Gaza? To what end?
Try to keep bigoted arguments out of the discussion and use intelligent reasoning.
Israel would have nothing to gain from such an attack.

SomeCatFromJapan · 18/10/2023 18:08

Tbf I don't think the evidence that is compelling enough to convince you it wasn't Israel actually exists.

It should be enough for most people to at least stand down on the levels of hysteria we witnessed last night though.

crumblingschools · 18/10/2023 18:09

@HeyLovee Israel aren't letting the aid through yet though

Unithorn · 18/10/2023 18:09

No it won't. Social media is a very important tool in this stage of the conflict, and it's working.

russetapple · 18/10/2023 18:10

It's long been known that about 25% of hamas rockets fall within Gaza, so it really is not unlikely that it was from within Gaza

That's not true. I want to see independently gathered and reviewed evidence. Considering the lies Israel has previously told why would and should people believe then. Why aren't they allowing people in to independently examine the scene? Surely that would exonerate them?

crumblingschools · 18/10/2023 18:14

I'm guessing if Israel hadn't told people in Gaza to evacuate there wouldn't have been 1000 people sheltering in the car park

Because it helps them facilitate a genocide of the Palestinian people. If you lead people to a point where not even hospitals or schools are safe, is it likely they will stay or leave if given the opportunity

Yes, the hospital Chapel but it's not just the Chapel, look at the thread.

The damage is not consistent with an Israeli bomb which frankly would have done much more damage to the buildings and the car park

Here's the crater.⬇️

Luckydip1 · 18/10/2023 14:43

It was Israel of course, but now they are denying it because it make them look like monsters. Unless you believe that Gaza is bombing itself which is a little far fetched.

Do you really think it's far fetched for terrorist to bomb their own structures

Straight out of the Russian playbook

Hamas don't care about their own people

Why would they request hospitals to be evacuated ? Can I have some intelligent reasoning about why they wanted wounded people , babies in nice etc to be evacuated

Erivo · 18/10/2023 18:20

There can never be independent evidence as there is no trust. Western evidence will always be viewed pro Israel and the Middle East will be pro Hamas. Some experts are avoiding commenting for fear of a backlash. Even now 24 hours and the row over who bombed a hospital that actually was never bombed at all. The hospital was always going to trigger more than the car park next to a hospital.

How many of those have killed 500people?
the truth is Israel isn’t allowing journalists to go in Gaza so we can’t 100% see what is happening there

Israel would gain more dead Gazans. It would speed up their mission to get rid of all the Palestinians. We all know that that's what Netanyahu's government actually wants.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 18/10/2023 18:22

Why aren't they allowing people in to independently examine the scene?

If Israel agreed to a temporary ceasefire so independent experts could go in there and check it all out do you seriously think Hamas would allow it?

What lies are you referring to?

HermioneWeasley · 18/10/2023 18:22

That people think Hamas is a more reliable source of information than Israel is mind boggling.

people were on here last night baying for blood before there was any evidence. When israel said babies had been murdered and decapitated people didn’t believe it until they were forced to release pictures of their dead.

A synagogue in Berlin has been firebombed. University Pennsylvania there have been calls for another genocide. Before Israel even started retaliation, there were chants of “fuck the Jews” in London and “gas the Jews in Sydney”. It takes absolutely nothing to stir up anti semitic sentiment and actions and people need to be a lot more responsible before they start accusing Israel.
