Do we actually know who bombed the hospital in Gaza yet?

I keep seeing mixed reports. It’s really unsettling not to know.

Oops.

Please look up the definition and thereby difference between hypothetical as an adjective and your choice of scientific word ‘hypothesis’

for you too ….

FreeCoathangers · 20/10/2023 13:51

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:47

Just because you haven’t liked my analogy does not allow you to dismiss it. In fact it makes you very uncomfortable.

the fact is you have your opinions and I have mine.

bottom line is that you have not condemned the killings of Christian women or children nor the bombing of the church or hospital.

You never answered my question, @ideaspls

Any chance you can answer it in your own words and not an analogy?

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:51

I actually can’t believe the level of the debate going on here.

will wait for you pro-Israeli posters to condemn the bombings on innocent targets, and we can continue on an even platform.

No, it's mot being used in the context of a scientific experiment.

The context is Logical Fallacies and the definition has been provided. You took an imaginary event to try to argue with.

I don't like the fact that innocent people are dying in the war.

Now, why do you think Jews shouldn't have settled in the area?

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:54

Who said anything about scientific experiment ??!! 🙄

blimey, please get back to your lessons.

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:55

@FreeCoathangers was the land empty?

FreeCoathangers · 20/10/2023 13:56

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:55

@FreeCoathangers was the land empty?

Arab majority with Jewish and Christian minorities. And?

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:56

@FreeCoathangers you don’t like innocent people dying is not a condemnation

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 13:58

If you can’t see the irony of your last ‘and’ then there is very little to be gained from debating with you.

swirlingabyss · 20/10/2023 13:59

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/oct/20/al-ahli-arab-hospital-gaza-blast-explosion-us-intelligence-report-death-toll-estimate

Estimates from hospital blast to be from 100 - 300 (US intelligence)

So you don't think the Jewish people have any right to live in the area? A very interesting, if not unsurprising conclusion.

swirlingabyss · 20/10/2023 14:00

Nobody should take land illegally from the people that live there and drive them from the area, no matter what their religion

We've gone through this about 5 times already on this thread.

Jewish people have a religious and historical tie to the Land, remember that bloke Jesus?

There have always, always been Jewish people living in the area.

Well if you don't like that, there are others.

Faulty Analogy aka Weak Analogy.

Your analogy isn't comparing like with like. As @FreeCoathangers said, Ukrainians have not lived in the UK for 3,000 years. 🤷‍♂️

Let's deal with real world examples, shall we?

Not imaginary ones in London for a people who aren't native to the UK. 🤦‍♂️

ideaspls · 20/10/2023 14:07

You are both reduced to arguing about terminology now and the science of debate.

neither of you have managed to convince me that Israel was right to occupy Palestine.

NotSuchASmugMarried · 20/10/2023 14:09

Hamas bombed the hospital in an own goal.

However, it really doesn't matter WHO bombed it, because Hamas are to blame anyway.

If Israel did bomb it, it's because Hamas are hiding out there. Hiding behind the skirts of palestinian women.

Wow, way to miss the point. I didn't say that Jewish people were not present at all in Palestine.

What I did say, was that during the Nakba, Palestinian people were pushed out of their homes, and the areas of land they lived in and on. Which you seem to completely be ignorant about or conveniently forget or fail to acknowledge.

Put it this way - I live in one house on the street and am Palestinian. Your family live in the same street, but one member of your family decide you want my house. So they push me out of my house and take over my land. Other members of your family do the same to the other neighbours on the street, pushing them out of their homes. Not fair is it?

Just because you live in one house in the street does not give you the right to all houses and land in the street (which are already owned and occupied by other people).

it's not rocket science, is it?

Because we're never going to convince someone who adamantly believes the Jews have no right to be there.

I don't want to change your mind, that's impossible. I just wanted to see you admit it.

I might have got you mixed up with someone else, if so, I apologise, but I think you said you were a Christian, right?

Huwipulotu · 18/10/2023 13:14

I think it is pointless speculating.

all you can be assured of is that the propaganda from both sides is out in full force.

OP is not asking for speculation. They are asking if there is a verified conclusion yet

DownNative · 20/10/2023 14:12

Amongst other things including...

Do we actually know who bombed the hospital in Gaza yet?
ideaspls · 20/10/2023 14:12

I haven’t even mentioned the word ‘Jews’ in my gazillion posts…. Please check.

I am denouncing the actions of the Israeli government.

potatoheads · 20/10/2023 14:14

LifeExperience · 18/10/2023 13:24

Check the news. The Israelis have audio intercepts of terrorists talking about their missile going astray and hitting the hospital. About 1/3 of Hamas' missiles miss their targets. They are crude technology, and most do not have guidance systems.

The Israeli's have said they have intercepted messages. I'm not saying they haven't. I'm just pointing out that there is a difference between verified news and things either side have stated.

No, if you're using any one of the logical fallacies, formal and informal, you can expect it to be picked up.

And, yes, it does mean a person can be dismissed in that instance.

Imaginary events....(!) 🙈
