Actors in roles that weren't all that convincing

And this is not an actor/actress bashing thread, an actor can be hit and miss depending on role,dialogue and other factors. And it's ok to agree to disagree.

Why did they remake it -first casting was excellent. Maybe a bit clunky br modern standards but a shame really.

Without wanting to be bitchy, Jane Reeves was the Frasier producer's girlfriend wasn't she? It's not really that mysterious that she was cast. I suppose it's possible that better comic actors would have taken focus from Ros. I actually wonder what Phoebe Kudrow would have been like as Daphne after they sacked her as Ros.

I was watching The Young Ones again the other night and wondering all over again why the actor playing Mike was cast. What they writers were trying for doesn't work but he can't do anything with it. Every time he speaks the energy drops to the cellar.

I'll forgive Brad Pitt practically anything for Burn After Reading. The funniest, blackest most self aware performance.
