It's worried about the rise of anti-semitism. Do you think the same thing will happen here?

I think you are lying for fake internet props

Anti-zionism is well established among ultra orthodox Jews in the diaspora. There are regular demonstrations against Israel by the Haredim in London.

Yes this is twitter
And as CNN confirms they cannot verify it’s geolocation
They cannot verify where this was taken
They cannot verify if it was due to bombs etc..
Also
Israel said when the first report came out of 40 beheaded babies that they would not post images as it was disrespectful to the families.
Then they post these images, which are disrespectful to families and not of beheadings.
They’ve been outed as posting, encouraging, misinformation.

This sort of story of unimaginable atrocities happens every time one power wants to demonise another

Look at the UK govn. In order to garner support for WW2 they said the German army were throwing Belgium babies in the air and catching them on their bayonets. Result. Huge growth in Brits joining up.

It was confirmed as a lie and propaganda some time after. But hey, that’s OK, they got the result they wanted.

Yes, it was all a huge mistake joining up and fighting Hitler. Those evil lying Brits just tricked us into it. They probably exaggerated the holocaust as well. 😂

You are disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

No.
Im fact checking absolutely everything I see.
If the facts are there, if there’s evidence I will believe it as true.
There is nothing disgusting about making sure that what we are reading is true.
Thats common sense and the right thing to do.

And what everyone should be doing before they post on any forum.
Or even
Make their minds up about where they stand.

bombastix · 13/10/2023 10:24

@Bigbrotherpropoganda - I doubt your story is true because a) it relates to WW1, and b) it was actually true, as verified by the German officers themselves.

That’s so funny.
At the time they had no idea what Hitlers grand plan was.
Even the Germans didn’t know what was going on.
Thats reporting after the fact.

bombastix · 13/10/2023 10:27

@Bigbrotherpropoganda - since the allegations about German soldiers in Belgium commiting atrocities were true, would you like to apologise?

They didn't know exactly what was about to unfold, but they had a slight inkling that Hitler was up to no good. I don't know why. Perhaps it was that manifesto he put out saying that, amongst other things, he wanted to expand German territory and to exterminate the Jews?😂

bombastix · 13/10/2023 10:29

@Itllbefine6 - wouldn't bother. You are dealing with someone who wants to spread misinformation

I know. I don't know why I'm laughing. It's just so ridiculous where this thread is going.

The simple truth, also hamas are threatening Palestinians, who wish to leave target areas, as advised by leaflet drops, they need them as propaganda shields, hamas must be wiped from the face of the earth, once and for all.

This statement always really bothers me because it works both ways. Israel has been encroaching on Palestine’s land and persecuting Palestinians for decades. If left unchecked, Israel would slowly remove all trace of Palestine.

It’s easier to have a sympathetic view to this because it’s done so covertly (and with the unwavering support of Western governments) but the end result is the same.

The whole of the middle east wants israel gone. - Lebanon (lebanese immigrants to Australia marching and demanding gas the jews), Egypt, Jordan, Syria, now Iran. I don't know why this isn't mentioned. It used to be you couldn't get into the UAE etc if you had an Israelia stamp in your passport (could still be the case).
I don't know why this isn't mentioned - instead it is always reported as Rich cruel Israel and poor little Palestinians. The Palestinian situation could be eased overnight if some of the rich arab countries coughed up and helped them, also there could be land donated by egypt etc and decent states developed for both countries but the ME wants Israel gone. And are happy to let the Palestinians pay the price of refugee status, poor conditions.

Do we have similar laws here?

Expressing support for a proscribed organisation is illegal. Unfortunately the police didn't do a lot to arrest those celebrating on Edgeware Road last weekend. Anti-semitism just isn't taken seriously.

What does the opinion of other Arab states have to do with the statement I made?

And what an odd statement re financial assistance. One Arab state in particular gives huge amounts of money to Hamas. It isn’t helping the situation, if anything it’s helping fund its escalation. How would you expect them to use money to get themselves out of this situation if not to use it to fight the Israeli’s?

Also why should Egypt give Palestine land so Israel can take theirs?

Except, in the case of Gaza, Israel withdrew completely from that land and then Gaza just attacked harder and elected Hamas.

I am not in agreement with continued building on the West Bank (although it is actually really hard to expand Jerusalem to meet it's populations needs when it is surrounded by about 280° by the West Bank ....a fair amount of 'settlement building' is an expansion of Jerusalem suburbs)

However let's be specific, this current situation is about Gaza, ruled by Hamas. The situation in the West Bank, ruled by the PA under Fatah, is somewhat different.

nc14 · 13/10/2023 11:25

@Towerofsong Israel did not withdraw from Gaza in any meaningful way. They control the airspace, electricity and water. They also govern what goods go in and out of the region. This is how they have been so easily able to bring about the current siege.

Israel's Occupation: 50 Years of Dispossession

Mass human rights violations during the 50-year occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip have devastated the lives of millions of Palestinians.

@Bigbrotherpropoganda I don't understand why you need to do this? Where children murdered in their beds and nurseries in cold blood in the kibbutz's..... yes. Is there evidence whole families where massacred, burnt alive..... yes.
So what's the issue? Hama's apparently ordered their terrorists not to target civilians and they did. Blatantly.
Dead is dead.

FairylightsandHygge · 13/10/2023 01:18

In Ireland you had peace talks when it was decided to actually listen to the IRA and sit at a table with them. The Israeli government refuses to come to the table and talk. They refuse to recognise any elected leader of Palestine.

There are no winners in this. The Israeli population is deeply critical of Netanyahu but of course after this they will all come together and support him.

Meanwhile Palestinians continue to suffer. It is abhorrent.

That's utter bollocks. The IRA were infiltrated by MI5. Their attacks were no longer working. They were forced to come to the negotiating table because they had been defeated.

Hamas want the total destruction of Israel, and the extermination of every last Jew. You cannot negotiate with such extremists, it's futile. There can be no two-state solution while Hamas continues to hold power.

The concept of a state did not exist in biblical times. Statehood is a modern concept.
