I'm currently on mat leave and we've started having a bit of cbeebies. Some of it is great - Bluey, Bing, Mr Tumble etc. Is anyone else driven mad by some though??

So when I'm director general of the BBC, Yakka Dee is getting yakka'd out the window, Cocomelon is getting on their bloody bus and sodding off and we're falling out of love with Love Monster.

Anyone else want a rant? not enough tea this morning

Tee and Mo. Both of them are terrible.

I did like Bluey but now it grates on me, Bandit lets them run riot and Chilli has got such a patronising bloody tone of voice.

And I HATE Waffle. Get your ridiculous talking dickhead under control and apologise for it, don't just say "Oh Waffle what are you like" and laugh at everyone else. Dickheads.

I think that's itGrin

Zoologydragon · 03/10/2023 09:32

Small potatoes - I have to turn it off!

Cocomelon sets my teeth on edge

Bing!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 03/10/2023 09:33

Mine is 15 now so thank the lord those tv days are over. But she liked sooo much tosh including In The Nightgarden.

I just wanted to stab Upsy Daisy though. Don't know why. Is that bad?! Grin

Randomly a while ago I started humming the music and she asked me to stop whilst quietly blubbing ... told me they were "happy tears " but she can't hear it without welling up as it reminds her of when she was little.

Tinga Tinga Tales and Rastamouse however were bloody epic Grin

lennylion · 03/10/2023 09:34

Is Paw Patrol still a thing? God i hope not. It made me want to scream at animals, and I love animals

Ellie525 · 03/10/2023 09:35

In the Night garden is sending my head west, its like Teletubbies on acid and that bloody Iggle Piggle song stays in my head all day 🙈🙈

Anothernamechangeee · 03/10/2023 09:35

Cocomelon is so awful. The songs would come back to haunt me during night feeds and I’d really struggle to get them out of my head

Sellingbedtime · 03/10/2023 09:36

Topsy and Tim - I just can't 😖

Lovethatforyouhun · 03/10/2023 09:36

Bing! What a winey little shit.

SleepingStandingUp · 03/10/2023 09:36

Some of you are seriously messed up.

Small Potatoes is the greatest telly there ever was. Tee and Mo are awesome.

However, Waffle needs experimenting on, off screen. Topsy and Tim used to drive me potty and that bloody kid and her spider.

I don't mind Mr Tumble but his other shows - the stupid quiz show one and the one that's lots of short clips in the style of 1980s humour. GAH.

evtheria · 03/10/2023 09:38

DS is 9 so I'm not up to date with what's on for the littler ones, but I especially hated hearing Topsy & Tim and In the Night Garden.

On the other hand, I loooove the Twirlywoos, The Clangers, find Sarah and Duck (not the theme song though) soothing, and still sing the small potatoes song.

Sellingbedtime · 03/10/2023 09:38

Also Biff and Chip

I think it's the child actor thing that grates on me

MariePaperRoses · 03/10/2023 09:39

When my son was little he loved Barney.

Barney himself was kind of cute. The songs and the kids weren't.

Cobwobs · 03/10/2023 09:39

Ugh, Cocomelon is soul destroying, the songs are dire. And Bing is just a whining little brat, hate him with a passion.

PeggyPiglet · 03/10/2023 09:40

Oh Mr Tumble.

I always imagine him going off set, looking in a mirror and having a big old sigh to himself, thinking what has his life come to.

I remember watching Barney! I don't recall being very fond of it though, or Lambchops Playalong... nothing was as good as Sesame Street or the live action Bananas in Pyjamas.

PeggyPiglet · 03/10/2023 09:40

In the Night Garden has to be one of the weirdest and most disturbing thing I've ever seen on a screen.
Who the fuck came up with that.

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 03/10/2023 10:00

In The Night Garden is definitely the result of an acid trip.

Waffle, I simply do not get. I mean... he's a dog??

Small potatoes are cute!

Some of these we haven't had the joy of yet...

I read on MM a while ago some theories about INTG and one was that scene at the beginning where Iggle Piggle is in his boat at the beginning? Theory is he is trapped in an eternal night all but himself just rowing along and the programme is him dreaming about having some friends because he's so lonely Sad

Nooooooooo

PatsWoggle · 12/10/2023 09:58

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the horror that is Peppa Pig! My youngest is 11 but I get triggered when I hear it in the wild on random children's tablets.

Teen Titans. Awful. One of my most selfless acts of parenting was paying good money to sit through the film of this.

Couldyounot · 12/10/2023 09:59

Our two youngest have developed a liking for something called Bread Barber Shop on Netflix. It is the most peculiar programme I have ever seen - not in any way offensive, just odd.

Grizzy and the Lemmings is becoming very very annoying

PlusOneTwoThree · 12/10/2023 10:08

My smallest two have just got into power rangers! Dear god it’s horrendous!
I am very glad to see the back of Wooly & Tig though, I will take anything in place of that fucking spider!!

Whattodo112222 · 12/10/2023 10:09

Topsy and Tim can die a slow and painful death

It always makes me cry when he sails off alone- sleep is a journey you can only do alone after all. Now I'm even sadder for him!

Dd is into The Game Catchers at the moment. It's the cheesiest stupidest thing she's ever watched and I think she only likes it because the choose a programme link is pink. Can I hide programmes on Cbeebies?

MrsSkylerWhite · 12/10/2023 10:14

Justin’s house . Uurrgggh! Shudders.
