If cannabis was made legal, would you use it?

I would be interested in trying the funny version to see if it helped with pain. Not interested in smoking it. I’ve never smoked in my life and I’m not going to start

No. I find the smell unbearable. Plus it messes with your mental health.

Yes, weed is great.

I wonder where people's lines are with this. I agree with other posters' comments that 'drug' is a point of view.

Why is the buzz from alcohol, caffeine, even chocolate, any different than that from Cannabis? Why is Cannabis different from cigarettes or vaping?

Laws aside, it seems so arbitrary.

I wouldn't use it, by the way. This is just me thinking out loud.

It's not arbitrary. You can drive/ work/ look after the kids on all of those things you've mentioned. Weed is a completely mind altering substance.

It's just like alcohol really. Some people can use it safely whilst others will get addicted to it and suffer negative consequences as a result.

Thinking about it it's ridiculous that oxycodone is legal but cannabis isn't. It's a plant! But no, I wouldn't use it, maybe if I had pain I would try it.

Never understood this argument either. Heroine is also a plant. So is tobacco.

I don’t drink and I don’t smoke either so it would be something for me to try

I'm 50 and never smoked but I thought you only live once so ate a cannabis gummy last week.
I absolutely hated the feeling it gave me but good for pain 😂.
I'm working my way through a bucket list of new experiences 🤷‍♀️

I would, to see if it would help with my chronic pain. I take relatively high doses of codeine which keeps me functioning/moving, but does f* all for most of my pain.

Tried cannabis in various forms at Uni and never got high. My boyfriend at the time was determined to get me high and devoted most of a weekend persuading me to smoke constantly. It didn't work and he got very frustrated (I told him beforehand not to waste his money).

I still joke that medics should study me, to work out why I don't get the high, to create new treatments for those with substance issues.

I'd bake with it in cakes, I wouldn't smoke it.
