Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm in my kitchen spot, with my first cuppa of the day. The window's open & it's silent down here apart from the fridge humming away to itself & the birds I can hear in one of the trees. I think they're in the big Christmas tree type at the bottom of a neighbours garden.

There's uniform washing to be done, pots to wash up from last night, and I volunteered dd1 to sweep in here since she was messing about chucking rainbow drops about yesterday. Other than that, the house is mostly clean and tidy.

Dd1's off into town with their dad today for a few bits for college, then off out with her friend.

Dd2, I think, got up at 4am to watch Adele so will be in bed a while longer. I don't think she was fussed about going anywhere today.

I plan to print a Vinted label & head to the shop with the parcel, then sit at the kitchen table crafting. We're off to the Eras Tour film in a couple of weeks so I might get the beads out and see if the girls want to join me making a handful of friendship bracelets.

Tonight it's a cooked breakfast for tea 😋 then probably more crafting for me, a bit of homework for dd1 and some more reading for dd2.

Just finished my first cuppa and now pondering breakfast... then today's plan is:

Swimming lessons - my turn to take them.

Homework - that's going to go down like a lead balloon with DS as his sister has already got hers done.

Laundry, a few jobs, maybe try and get over to my neglected allotment for an hour.

Then halloumi fajitas for dinner later and we'll watch Strictly. 🪩 DS (7) may have to be tied to the sofa to stop him bouncing about like a lunatic.

Pretty much usual Saturday stuff:
5am up Walk dog + do horse then home to get DD up for school.
Was meant to be beating with the dog today but not feeling great so ducked out.
On 2nd coffee and need to get arse into gear to clean bathroom then kitchen velux as I think there are things hatching in it!
DD will get home 12.30 so will make her a fry up before taking her riding then to see my parents and back up horse before spending rest of the evening on sofa with prosecco.

As per every Saturday morning I have so far taken DS to swim training and now sat at the gym while he does he PT session. But later today my day gets much more exciting when I attempt to clean the oven!

Morning all. Just had a brew and bacon sandwich, now going to spend an hour doing some cleaning and laundry - I like to get this out of the way as early as possible! Will then put a curry into the slowcooker for later and have a walk into town, will get some lunch whilst there I think. Strictly later with a glass of wine or two. I love Saturday, it's my favourite day of the week!

Still in bed with a cup of tea, slowly working up the will to move.

Nothing massive to do today thankfully, just a food shop. Doing a roast for dinner tonight which I'm really looking forward to as it finally feels like autumn here.

Husband is currently being taught to crochet by DD. He's rubbish at it but she's a very patient and determined teacher. I'm sure the house will be full of bobble hats by Christmas.

Still in bed will get up.and make tea soon. Gym classes then visit to my mum in hospital. Then cleaning and chores.

Feeling like a new woman after DD (couple of months old) did several two hour stretches last night with just 5-10mins of feeding between them. Might not sound like much but so much better than it's been. Now watching her sprawled out asleep on DH, also sprawled out asleep, before we start some DIY 😊

@InFiveMins what sort of curry are you cooking in your slow cooker?

@twistyizzy "things" hatching in the velux sounds unpleasant! Hope you manage to get rid of whatever it is.

@VeridicalVagabond your dd has more patience than me! I tried to teach dd1 & it frustrated me more than her 🤣

Good morning Lucysmam. I'm having a gall bladder flare up and I'm feeling a bit wabbit, so I'm doing very little except adorning the couch today.

@lucysmam well there are bluebottles emerging from it so I think I will send DH up to clean it!!!

I'm sitting out on the terrace with a cafetiere and the dogs, listening to the birds and watching the clouds change (and Mumsnetting, obvs!)

Once the coffee's done I'll get a 30 minute workout in, then spend a bit of the morning tidying up the garden.

Take the dogs to the beach for a dip, and then back to pick up my neighbour and drop her to the airport as she's off for a 2-week safari today - very jealous!

And then this afternoon I'm going to find a good podcast series to binge, put on a hair mask, and start a jigsaw. Official autumn activities (even though it's still about 29 degrees here...)

A bit of washing and Hoovering. Might make something a bit special for dinner. It's nice weather, so possibly a woodland walk.

She absolutely does and I have no idea where she gets it because I tried to teach him once and was ready to commit a crochet hook related crime within about 15 minutes. I think she'll make a grand teacher one day if she chooses to go that route!

Morning all!

Ive just showered, had a lovely coffee in peace after a bit of a lie in (for me!) this morning. General clean and tidy and then plan to do some work on my assignment later and have takeaway for tea.

DS has just woken up and will be going out with friends at some point I expect, DD is in her room on a group call while they all play some game on Roblox.

Hopefully a nice long walk tomorrow to blow the cobwebs away. I feel a bit guilty when I’ve got an assignment due and we can’t really do much. I work full time so it has to be done on weekends 😔

Lucysmam the sleepover last Saturday went well, thank for remembering! Both slept all night and only woke at seven because I got up.

Yes! We're diving off the South coast, couple of wrecks today and scenic reef dives tomorrow 🙂

Still in bed. Had an iron infusion on Thursday and am feeling decidedly rubbish. So have totally cleared the weekend of any plans so no pressure other than some baking and some attempting to sell the worlds biggest Sylvanian family collection

Just waiting to get in the shower after the kids have finished, then I have to take DS to piano lesson, back home for lunch, then take DD to her riding lesson. Tagine and a glass of wine for dinner.

@Justonedayatatime11 I used to love Sylvanian Families! Some of mine were handed down to the girls & still live in the dollshouse at the top of the stairs. I check on them every now and again, don't think the girls do 🤣
