We're curious about the influencers who inspire and guide you in your parenting journey. Who are your top go-to influencers in the parenting space? Share their names or handles and a quick reason why you find them influential. Let's create a list of the most impactful influencers according to our Mumsnet community. Thanks for your recommendations!

Yes. Didn't the Tattle site arise from that? Posters on Mumsnet were trying to discuss the ethics and accountability of certain influencers (before the phrase was even coined I think) and HQ would come along and say "this isn't in the spirit" or "be kind" and stifle or delete the thread.

Not sure about the Tattle site but the discussion was constantly shut down and often huge ‘supporters’ of said instamums would be ready 24 hours a day to defend them.

All very odd and clearly something driven by an agreement with MN.

I can think of a few just recently who have had home accounts with a reasonable following and have now had their first babies. You’d think they were the only women to have ever had kids - here’s my expert advise for this and for that - hun your geet is 2 weeks old and all you’re doing is peddling all your #ad #gifted shite. No thanks.

I actually think for many of us, the people we admire have skills other than being almost famous. Like writers and artists. Or lawyers. Or academics. Or activists. People with a voice who are using it well.

On a tangent here but another I followed for house stuff made a big deal about a year ago when her kid turned 1 about how clever she taking herself off to the toilet and potty training herself and how she was now dry. This week the big thing is they are properly starting potty training. Hun you told everyone you did it a year ago. More #ad/gifted posts. That’s why I do not pay much heed to these parenting influencers.

None, as soon as this grift of a phenomenon disappears for good, the better.

I unfollow any brands who use influencers, even if I like them. It’s a personal crusade for me.

I couldn't agree more. I am in hospitality and the amount of 'influencers' grifters who think they are worthy of free accommodation etc is extraordinary.

They really do insult so many with their vulgar sense of entitlement. Amusingly, they have nothing to offer either beyond 'instagram content'.

I usually ask them to pay and I will send confirmation of the amount donated to local homeless charity. To date nobody has taken me up on this. Funny that.
