Mine is a tiara - not necessarily an expensive one - costume jewellery really - but I would never have an occasion to wear one, and as I have a face like a homely potato, I’d look ridiculous in one. But I still get that little yearning, if I see one on FB or Etsy.

My very own horse - and a field to keep it it - and a friend for it.

You do know if you get a horse you need to get him a friend ,and you will have to get the friend a friend so when you take your horse out the friend has someone to play with , but you also need to get another horse incase they don't get on with each other . . . .😁🐴🫏🐎

A beautiful, antique rocking horse 🐎

There are so many things on this thread that are attainable, like being slim or owning a house or owning a horse

It's not really about being attainable, I could absolutely change my car to an Abarth, it's about it being unnecessary but wanting it anyway. (Also not sure why you picked those three things as being attainable when plenty of people do clearly fail to attain those things despite trying very hard indeed. Well, maybe not so many are struggling to get a horse, but the other two.)

A doorbell that plays tunes.

A schoolfriend parents had one in the 70s. I thought it was superb.

They also had multicoloured Christmas tree lights and multiple strands of coloured tinsel. I did buy those.

Tiredmum100 · 19/09/2023 19:06

I actually really want the friends' polly pocket set. I'm 40, so way too old, but it looks so cool and reminds me of my childhood. I would have LOVED that as a child.

A friesian horse.

I've ridden one a few times and sigh just wonderful <<shakes fist at scruffy ponies>>

For my horse to stay clean.

Never gonna happen though!

A theremin . I've even looked at theremin kits .

ItsJustLittleOldMe · 19/09/2023 19:14

A really lovely pair of Christian Louboutin red sole shoes. I have three young children and nowhere to wear them but it sure would make me happy ironing in them 🤭

lucysmam · 19/09/2023 19:14

These KG boots I love them! But they're rediculously expensive for me so I won't buy them!

Surely2023IsTheYearForMyRainbowBaby · 19/09/2023 19:16

A swimming pool in my garden with a hammock next to it

An antique rocking horse

My septum piercing.

Downside my swimming pool would need to be a paddling pool and I'd be liable to fall out the hammock and break my neck, the rocking horse I could just about fit in the conservatory and the septum piercing. 1 I'm a wuss and I'm scared it'll hurt and 2 my Mum would kill me if I had it pierced

An ice maker. We have one in our freezer but I want one for upstairs because I am rather lazy and need icy cold drinks.

Garden kitchen under a veranda, Japanese soaking bath and soft serve Mr Whippy icecream machine.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 19/09/2023 19:28

are we allowed imaginary things? I've always wanted my own dragon in the style of toothless from HTTYD. I never could get excited about horse riding. but dragon riding? now that I can get behind

Nellieinthebarn · 19/09/2023 19:29

A big lazy handsome black cat, but my German Shepherd and allergic husband make this impossible.

A mechanical horse, I am too old, fat and broken to ride anymore, but my goodness I miss it so much. A mechanical horse that won't mind how much I weigh, won't spook at nothings and have me off, and would bend down to let me get on. I know it won't smell like a horse, or have a gentle eye, or make that lovely wiffle my old boy would do when he saw me. But at least I could feel like I was riding again. I could shut my eyes and go on my old hacks in my mind.

tinytemper66 · 19/09/2023 19:30

A lovely Barbour jacket. Not a wax one, but like a hacking jacket type. Didn't have my size in store and now t buy it online.

After 11 weeks in hospital all I want is my own bed (that doesn’t have a plastic mattress), with a real duvet on it (not blankets), my dog snuffling her not-quite snores & cat curled up beside me.

I hope you get home soon Flowers

Wibblebits · 19/09/2023 19:33

A 1980s gaggia espresso machine. It won't make good coffee will need lots of maintenance and costs £300.

Nellieinthebarn · 19/09/2023 19:34

Oooh!! Ladybird books! the ones we had a school. Not Peter and Jane, I only liked Pat the dog in those, and they made me feel inadequate with their perfect lives. I want the nature books like Pond LIfe and What to Look for in Summer, and the well loved tales. I had a few, but never enough.

Is your user name from a series of books where a girl catches an escaped Arab horse? Sorry, really random question, but your name has just trigged something in my brain 😂

ureterr1blemuriel · 19/09/2023 19:38

One of these tacky Christmas scenes…

No idea where it’d go but the 7 year old in my is pining after it so much. I might be getting a promotion at work soon & so it could be my reward to myself! 😆
