Mine is a tiara - not necessarily an expensive one - costume jewellery really - but I would never have an occasion to wear one, and as I have a face like a homely potato, I’d look ridiculous in one. But I still get that little yearning, if I see one on FB or Etsy.

A thermomix. I’m not even a good cook.

A full-size carousel in the back garden. (My garden isn’t big enough but that’s by the by.) I’d want to name all the horses myself and they’d be called romantic names like Starlight, Pegasus, Firefly etc.

Oh, now I’ve read this, I want one too. I’ve hankered after a carousel horse for ages but never thought to covet an entire carousel!

Spendysis · 19/09/2023 20:13

a House with a bit of land so I can have an alpaca and maybe a horse

littlepammie70 · 19/09/2023 20:15

I have a Garmin watch and now I can no longer afford the gym membership I admit to being a little obsessed with how much deep sleep I’ve had each night 🥱

One of those back doors that's like a stable door so you can just open the top half. Would look ridiculous on my house though!

My parents have just got a stable back door put on their 60s bungalow - mum has been hankering after one for decades and dad finally gave in, she's chuffed to bits with it Grin

rosyday · 19/09/2023 20:17

a giant heart shaped box of chocolates :)

Imsureitsprobablymebut · 19/09/2023 20:18

A 15 tonne horse lorry with pop out lounge and a sky dish on top.
And not for the reason that you think.

Daisyislazy · 19/09/2023 20:19

A huge staircase so that I can float down it in my ballgown

Carsarelife · 19/09/2023 20:21

A poison ring.
Had one years ago and lost it. Still think about it. It was black onyx and silver oval shape. Just lovely

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/09/2023 20:24

@MechaBuilder - I embroider a bit, and I would love to have that chest too. I know I don’t nned it - but I firmly believe that buying any craft supplies, and actually doing the relevant craft, are two entirely separate hobbies.

I might ask for this chest for Christmas though……

I'd love a tiara too OP 😊

I'd also like a Cape, one of those rings that open that were used to keep poison in (so i've heard)
A cottage in the woods with wisteria around the door and a garden of wildflowers

Trixiefirecracker · 19/09/2023 20:25

A swimming lake, complete with sauna and wood fired hot tub.

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2023 20:29

I'd like a gallery landing (plus the big house it would be part of !)
Will never happen unless I win the lottery !!

Gummybear75 · 19/09/2023 18:12

Every year at Christmas I want to turn my house into a full blown Santa's grotto style house, from September I dream of what itll look like. Come boxing day I can't wait to rip all the decorations back down again... every single year!

Omg same! I've been googling trees and decir all night

ScottBakula · 19/09/2023 20:33

I would love a Chesterfield recliner in oxblood leather.
I would have a drinks globe next to it and a small coffee table with oak ,ebony and pine inlay .
I already have a bankers lamp to go on the table

One utterly unnecessary thing you really want.
HunterHearstHelmsley · 19/09/2023 20:35

I want a life size cut out of The Undertaker. They're not expensive but I fear guests may find it odd.

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 19/09/2023 15:54

One of those gloves that opens up and has a bottle of whiskey and 6 glasses inside. Looks really naff but I would love one. I have no room for it but I can dream!

What is this? Never heard of it! ♥️

She means one of those massive globes.
I was confused as well!

madeinmanc · 19/09/2023 20:40

@littlepammie70 You're living my dream! A Garmin! 😍

I have the DMC chest and it is a thing of beauty. It’s been worth every penny for me, and it’s so handy to have every colour to hand.

rasellagirl · 19/09/2023 16:31

LetMeEnfoldYou, just get the tattoo if you want it! Definitely no age limit. I’m nearly 60 and only got the first of my seven large tattoos two years ago.

I only started at 3...8 I think I was?

I'm definitely in the market for a new one but stuck on what and where. I like them where I can see them so back or thigh seem a bit pointless to me. Maybe my other arm is a more conservative choice!

LetMeEnfoldYou · 19/09/2023 20:42

Nonplusultra · 19/09/2023 16:50

The Oxford English Dictionary - all 20 volumes. And a very comfy armchair because I won’t be leaving the house for quite a while.

And I know it’s online but I still want the print version.

You know what, that sounds really nice. Like something a proper grown up would have!

Ambertonix · 19/09/2023 20:48

I'd love a room to convert to a library. People tell me i have too many books but the truth is i just dont have enough bookshelves! I would have a chaise longue to recline on whilst reading and also a beautiful bureau that i would fill will delicious snacks so i dont go hungry!

Dontfencemein · 19/09/2023 20:48

A gardener.

Duckskitbank · 19/09/2023 20:54

A massive double staircase so I can glide down to dinner in a ball gown. My children will be standing at the bottom shouting about being hungry and telling me that I look strange but I don’t care.

After reading this thread I will also take a zip wire and a carousel, thank you.
