And another poster who claims to be disabled themselves is supporting that. It's typical simplistic, offensive Tory thinking. Getting disabled people into work that is sustainable for them in terms of their health, their continuity of income and the needs of their employer is actually going to cost money. That's not to say it shouldn't be done - it should - but it isn't what this government is about.
My DS (the one who gets PIP) has found a job. It's 20 hours a week reception work in a care home, but the kicker is that it's in a shift pattern that will give him a maximum of 4 consecutive days at work, followed by a minimum of 6 consecutive days off. This will allow him to recover and not aggravate his pain and fatigue. It's great for him, and would have been no use to most people.
And jobs like that are like hens' teeth, and will remain so.
