Apparently the biggest news story of the year is going to break over the weekend

It’s all overTwitter, or X as it’s now called. One of the Sunday papers is working on a massive story and all staff weekend leave has been cancelled. Channel 4 is showing an episode of ‘Dispatches’ tomorrow night at 9pm but haven’t said what it’s about and lots of people are putting two and two together and saying it’s in conjunction with the following days papers.

For me the “biggest story of the year” intro means it’s already a let down and I don’t even know what it is yet.

I remember there was a thread like this not long ago and absolutely nothing happened, although dispatched weren’t involved in that one

It's apparently the culmination of a 3 year joint investigation by The Sunday Times and Channel 4. The Sunday Times Insights team are proper old-fashioned investigative journalists. It must be something serious I would have thought.

Dispatches go undercover, I assume they've planted someone and it's the video evidence of that.

I said before that I really couldn't care less what celebrities and comedians get up to. If it's illegal let the law deal with them.

However I care very much what people in power - politicians, royalty, and in some cases, journalists, get up to. They make decisions on our behalf, decide how our money is spent, are supposed to keep us safe.

I hope this isn't a load of hype about celebrity nonsense.
