Who floats your boat?

I think Nathaniel Hawthorne (19th century American novelist) is a bit of a dish.

And if we’re going back even further, like a few millennia, then Alexander the Great gets my vote too 😆

D H Lawrence - can’t stand his writing, and he slightly looks like he’s grown the beard to get served in pubs, but clean shaven he looks like he’d be quite a looker.

@roundcork I get the impression Charles Brandon was generally considered very good looking and charismatic . Didn't Henry's younger sister marry him despite him being no great catch money wise.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 13/09/2023 20:04

Frederick Douglass.

The cheekbones, the eyes. Wowzers.

Just googled - he looks a bit like Matt Damon.

CheshireCat1 · 13/09/2023 20:08

Richard 111 is my pin up.

SparkyBlue · 13/09/2023 20:09

@roundcork yes I totally agree. I imagine him to look like that as well

Jasper Tudor, Duke of Bedford.

Rather niche. I'd go for Warwick the Kingmaker or John Lord Montagu.
