Where the heck are they?

Competition time.

Husband has a pair of expensive sandals that he only ever wears while on holiday, or on a really hot day while sat in the garden ( so rarely )
Yesterday, we turned the house upside down and inside out looking for them.
So far we have searched...
All the wardrobes.
On top of wardrobes ( he managed to break one doing this! )
All the cupboards.
Suitcases and holdalls.
Under the beds.
The only time they leave the house is in a suitcase when they're packed for a holiday.
So mnetters, help save my sanity with ideas of where the heck they can be please.
The lucky winner of this find the sandals competition will receive a packet of fruit pastilles. 🤞

Question...do foxes take flip flops? I've seen a few people mention it?! What do they want with our flip flops?

@isthismylifenow sorry, you will have to wait a little longer for the fruit pastilles, none of those scenarios have turned up the sandals.

He doesn't play golf, so not in a golf bag.

He only wears them while sat in the garden on a hot day, never outside of it unless on holiday abroad.

Not on the dining chairs.

Not in a folded up chair, folded rug or the garage, which still only contains the lawn mower and some spare plant pots.

I've literally taken the house apart today and nothing, zilch.
I did however, find a rather nice handbag that I'd forgotten about, so that's one good thing I suppose.

Loft? Someone's dog came into your garden and took them? They were accidentally scooped up amd put in the garden bin? You went on a day trip to the beach and they were lost / left there?

Checking in as I thought they would have been found by now! Do you keep old shoeboxes OP? Could they have been put in a different shoe box? Or in the Boot of your car?

They’re in a carrier or shopping bag hanging in a cupboard.
At least that’s where DS’s football boots were.

Maybe you packed one inside each Wellington boot to save space in the shoe cupboard?

@saladandcheese I keep shoes in their original boxes on a shelving unit. The box for the sandals are there, but it's empty. The other boxes only contain the correct footwear. I checked each one. ☹️

@SpringSummerDreamer no one wears / owns Wellington's here, so that's out too unfortunately.

@ApolloandDaphne The winter coats are hung up in the wardrobe waiting for winter. I've checked the coat hooks although, but to no avail.

They knew they were a hideous pair and took themselves off into a charity bag?

Or teen ds did you a favour and binned them. Can't believe someone suggested a cool young man would be in town wearing such items!
