I'm having a weekend at the seaside ALL BY MYSELF!

Well, me and the dog. There's a weekend next month which conveniently sits between the end of one big work project and the start of another - and one of the DC being away on a residential.

So I'm leaving the other DC with DH and heading to the coast. We will have long walks along the beach, read a lot (well, me, not DDog), and eat out at every meal so I don't have to think about food beyond "what do I fancy?"

I can't wait. 🥰

I am quite excited. I'm going to get a Sunday paper, and sit in a cafe and drink coffee while I read it.

It's been over a decade since I last did that.

I wish I could do this. Nobody to leave DC with :( I did it once pre-kids though when there was an infestation of spiders in my house so I had to clear out for 2 nights whilst it was sorted (only to be greeted to one hanging down from the light in my hotel room 🕷️😳). Anyway it was fabulous! Went on a pleasure boat, saw dolphins!
