Oh I do apologise. Have this from me until you win again🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷😁😁

Hope it’s the good stuff knowing how much you’ve won and not Lambrini!!!

I've won quite a few things, for example a £250 voucher for Tom Raffield homeware, a £250 cashmere throw, 6 month subscription for a gift box, a £60 moisturiser and about 5 or 6 other things similar. I go through phases of entering online competitions, but only with brands I've heard of like good housekeeping magazine for example. I'm still holding out for a holiday or something big like that!

TheChosenTwo · 08/09/2023 15:23

Other than some shit from school raffles, nothing! Mind you I’m not really someone who enters competitions, I don’t even see competitions to enter these days.

Randomly this week I've been entering the Take A Break competitions and I normally enter some of the Sky VIP ones but never win anything

I enter all of the Sky VIP ones, never won anything but have had loads of free cinema tickets and the odd VIP entrance/parking/lounge stuff for gigs I'm already going to.

When I was a teenager I won a bag of sugar at Bingo and £1000 on a £5 scratch card last year.

HerVagestyTheQueef · 08/09/2023 15:30

I won a big basket of fruit at raffle. It was nice: huge chunky basket and super fresh and delicious ripe fruit, with some interesting and exotic things in there.

However...

I also 'won' another of the prizes when another of my tickets was drawn afterwards. It was an original painting by a local artist and I loved it; it's what I wanted to win. But an acquaintance shouted "You can't have TWO prizes!" and someone else vocally agreed so I felt obliged to decline.

Still rankles.

I will do my best and I wonder if my good deed earns me a win on lottery again?🤔

fr4zzledmum · 08/09/2023 15:44

I won tickets to see Duran Duran.

CrispsnDips · 08/09/2023 15:45

Love the Blues song lyric “unphased”

Eyesopenwideawake · 08/09/2023 15:48

I won €6,000 and two holidays (three separate competitions) on Irish radio shows when I lived in Dublin.

Edited - it wasn't 12k!

SkaneTos · 08/09/2023 15:51

When I was around 6 years old I won a charger for car batteries. My father still uses it, 30 years later!

SkaneTos · 08/09/2023 15:57

And a few years ago I won a very nice, large, engraving of a poppy flower in an art lottery (after buying tickets every year, for MANY years). I was so happy!

BellaAndDave · 08/09/2023 15:59

A meet and greet with Katy Perry in 2011. My DD still talks about it as it was her 16th birthday 2 days later and she was a massive Katy Perry fan. When we replied thank you and they’d made my DD’s year they arranged for DD to be on stage with her to dance 🥺 I still have the video!

Microblading, 3 x gel nails, and hair removal on Instagram.

My friend won a load of stuff and money on a Good Morning competition. There was a motorhome etc in the bundle she won.

TotalOverhaul · 08/09/2023 16:02

I have twice won £1000 and once £500 in competitions where a bit of talent was involved.
I've won jewellery, dinners out, champagne etc on school raffles. Seemed to do unfairly well on those.
Won a gorgeous trip to Harry Potter World on Mumsnet once and it made DS's day.

Radio shows are the place to make big wins. Twice a friend of mine won a car on local radio shows. But she was so broke that she sold the cars immediately on both occasions.

When I was 8 my family went to the isle of wight on holiday.
Grandma came with us. One day I went to the arcades with her.
She wanted to play the bingo where you cover up the numbers.
It was only me and her so she let me have a go.
That one afternoon I won a large teddy bear, 6 China cups and saucers,
a pull along shopping trolley and a doll.
I still have the teddy bear and when clearing out my mums house she still had the cups and saucers, which she must have got from grandma.
Don't know what happened to the shopping trolley or the doll.

Grandma took me back a few times while we were there but didn't win anything else.

Drinatheballerina · 08/09/2023 16:51

A vacuum cleaner and some vitamins. Different competitions.

Chasetherainblownfearsaway · 08/09/2023 16:52

A holiday in a villa in Montenegro. Lovely!

HomeSeck · 08/09/2023 16:58

48 creme eggs in a school raffle when I was 14.

DH and DS seem most put out when I say it was the best day of my life Grin

afrikat · 08/09/2023 17:01

I once won a meal for 2 at a really nice restaurant in Edinburgh. Had 3 courses plus wine and it was amazing

Annonymiss123 · 08/09/2023 17:04

I've won a lot of small prizes - theatre tickets, restaurant vouchers, etc., but the best I've won are:

Holiday to Prague - flights + 5*.Hotel for 2.
€500 flights.
IPad
€200 on a scratch card

FlibbertyGibbitt · 08/09/2023 17:06

Won a spa day on a local radio station. Took my friend on Monday ! 🥳

IsItThough · 08/09/2023 17:09

I won a copy of Seven and The Ragged Tiger by Duran Duran when I was 10 and was made up.

And £25k on premium bonds when I was 18. Went a long way then, paid off the my mums mortgage and what was left eventually became own house deposit 25 years later.

Celia24 · 08/09/2023 17:16

Yes twice!

I won tickets to T in the Park when it was still going. So saw Beyonce, PULP, Foo Fighters, Blondie, Tom Jones and loads more acts for free.

Another time I won round the world flights for a competition I didn't enter. I had done a college course that automatically entered you in on completion. They just didn't bother to mention it 😂
