What's the worst birthday present your OH has bought you

I've just asked my OH politely to return my birthday present. He sulked a bit but will do. It's the first time I have done this.

So am I alone?

Not birthday but Christmas.
A Hostess trolley, decorated with ribbons and balloons, so I could serve Christmas dinner from it.
He's my ex 😂

Well I'm a romantic so like something feminine. Say a plant, piece of jewellery, handbag, watch.

I got a fit bit because he thought I needed one. He's obsessed with his and monitors everything daily, reciting all the statistics to me. 😳

A car. With money he'd taken from my savings without my permission. That was older than my me, no seat belts in the back, it was a big Old Ford Granada!. This was in 1999.

I don't drive.

Also had a second hand hoover one year.

Favourite was the pic and mix that had melted in his work bag.

Do Christmas presents count?
About 20 years ago DH bought me a pair of boots that were 2 sizes too big. He was quite moody that I said I was taking them back. He's rarely bought me a Christmas present since!

My exH did absolutely nothing, on a significant birthday. Does that count? It was very hurtful. For his equal significant birthday two years previously I had paid and organised for him to see his favourite singer live abroad - nearly a week away from home at a time when we had multiple very young children. I didn’t even get a homemade card. And he didn’t even tell the kids so they could just give me birthday cuddles. Nothing.

I phone charger that cost a stupid amount of money because I was always forgetting to charge my phone and running out of battery.
If I can’t remember to charge my phone, I don’t know how he expected me to charge the charger to charge my phone , when I forgot to charge my phone.
It may still be in my car.
I would have preferred a cheap bunch of flowers than what ended up basically being a glorified brick 🤣

DH forgot my birthday this year. He went out on the morning to get me a card and a few boxes of chocolates. I like plain chocolate and he bought me Milk Tray, possibly my least favourite box of chocolates in the world!

My exH rarely bothered to buy me anything but would buy himself £300 gifts for birthday and christmas and open them while I sat there with nothing.
But the most spectacular was when he bought himself a new motorbike. He excitedly said he'd bought something for me. It was a horrendously cheap and nasty plastic and metal bracelet.
That was the last straw.

Plus - he rarely sees his son who is 40 mainly because DS can't stand him. For DS's 40th birthday he sent him two very old CDs, both musicals - sound of music and some other crap, the king and I I think and a note - no card - that said can you return these when you've watched them. ExH is not short of money.

One Easter, knowing I like plain chocolate, he bought me an After Eight white chocolate Easter egg! Apparently, he didn’t notice it was white chocolate! It was disgusting!

One Christmas, I asked for Michael Jackson’s Thriller CD, when it first came out; way before the CSA allegations. He bought me Queen’s Greatest Hits - he liked Queen, but I didn’t!

I took to buying my own presents and asking him to wrap them up!

A tax disc holder for my car... this was after the rules changed and you no longer needed to display your tax disc.
