My worst thing is tarragon. It ruins everything on the plate for me.

Sophie89j · 09/09/2023 07:49

Cinnamon….

ColesCorner7814 · 09/09/2023 08:02

Coriander, fennel, lemongrass and bananas.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 09/09/2023 08:09

Goats cheese

JMAngel1 · 09/09/2023 08:11

Corianded!!!!!

And Dill. I used to like it but after a holiday to Turkey where they put it on EVERYTHING I've gone right off it.

wherethewaterisdarker · 09/09/2023 08:12

Dill.

FoodFann · 09/09/2023 08:17

Coriander

PuppyMonkey · 09/09/2023 08:17

I’m the only person in the UK that hates gravy. Ruin your whole dish by pouring brown meaty sogginess all over it and making it all mushy and brown.

Blarn · 09/09/2023 08:17

Raw onion. It's not a food, it is an ingredient like flour and must be cooked! Grin

I hate gravy too.

Cardamom. It's in every bloody thing now but it's utterly disgusting.
Saffron. It tastes of bleach.
Tarragon.
Raw tomatoes. I love tomato based sauces but not actual tomatoes. I gag every time I try one.
Coleslaw. Why does it have to be served with everything?
Parmesan. It tastes of vomit. Likewise goats cheese.

I'm with you on tarragon Envy

@Siwggy I'm also surprised that so many people don't like cinnamon. I never realised that was a thing!

I’m another! It can be nice as a subtle addition to other spices like in Chinese cooking but when it’s used as the main spice it’s just horrible.

I like scented candles too but if cinnamon is one of the scents it’s not for me!

Macaroni46 · 09/09/2023 08:32

Celery
Truffle oil ((the smell makes me want to heave)
Blue cheese

Whichwhatnow · 09/09/2023 08:40

Coriander

Dried or cooked fruit of any kind (love fresh)

Rosemary (texture more so than taste)

What is the cousin of the woodlouse?

niclw · 09/09/2023 10:25

Garlic
Mushrooms
Fish and seafood

Tabbytabs · 09/09/2023 10:46

Fucking coriander! It gives me the stonking rage when I go out to eat and they put that shit on random unexpected things. There’s a pub near me that will put it on the mushrooms on a fry up unless you specifically tell them not to. The first time I got it I was very confused and angry. Why would you put it on a breakfast? WHY? I’ve had so many meals ruined by it. It’s so vile!

Tabbytabs · 09/09/2023 10:48

Oh and fake meat. I am vegetarian, I don’t want to eat your weird, processed garbage that has the nasty texture of meat. What is wrong with a lovely bean burger?
