My worst thing is tarragon. It ruins everything on the plate for me.

Coriander! Big clumps of coriander leaves everywhere!!!

I agree! It makes me gag!

CrapBucket · 08/09/2023 00:27

DILL

horrible stuff

MyFetch · 08/09/2023 00:28

Fucking sultanas or raisins. Their horrible wrinkly texture and unpleasant sweetness messing up grated carrot salad or stews

TheShellBeach · 08/09/2023 00:29

Raisins. Raisins are nasty.

fridaynight1 · 08/09/2023 00:29

Big onions, carrots, mushrooms, peppers. In fact, anything that isn't mushed to a pulp. I don't mind the taste as long as the are cooked to oblivion and/or pureed. Preferably both.

umeboshionigiri · 08/09/2023 00:30

Controversially.........cheese in anything savory and chocolate in anything sweet.

I like cheese and I like chocolate, but they're overpowering in a dish. Cottage pie I adore with crispy mash potato straight out of the oven but put cheese on top and I can't touch it.

As you can imagine Instagram is food hell for me 😂

dearanon · 08/09/2023 00:31

Bacon

recyclemeagain · 08/09/2023 00:31

Mayonnaise!

fridaynight1 · 08/09/2023 00:31

Anything slimy. Fish, onions, mushrooms and onions are the worst offenders.

GrumpyPanda · 08/09/2023 00:32

Huh. I like nearly all of the above - indifferent to celery.

But coconut flakes are truly the work of the devil. That icky texture...

Lemongrass.
Fennel (anything aniseedy)

Saturdaygirl01 · 08/09/2023 00:35

Red peppers

Strawberrypicnic · 08/09/2023 00:36

Mustard, it makes my nose feel weird.

reesewithoutaspoon · 08/09/2023 00:36

Cucumber, raisins/sultanas. And my top hate which is blue cheese, eurgh tastes like mouldy bread, its rank

Judgedbycats · 08/09/2023 00:37

Coriander, dirty perfumed nasty soapy taste.

BarbieKew · 08/09/2023 00:38

Tomato seeds. A few of those really ruin a good sandwich.

Halo8 · 08/09/2023 00:38

Coriander
Raw onion

Topseyt123 · 08/09/2023 00:39

Feta cheese. Cranberry sauce too. It's everywhere around Christmas and to me it's like having jam on your dinner. Bleurgh!

CallieQ · 08/09/2023 00:39

Celery

Dill

Tarkan · 08/09/2023 00:42

Mint

I'm fine with mint sweets and mint toothpaste but add even the tiniest bit of the herb and it ruins the food. I can't even stand the smell of it and I can instantly tell if things have been minted even when it doesn't say so.

I've had lamb, potatoes, cous cous, garlic mayo and even a fish risotto dish ruined by mint being randomly added when I wasn't expecting it.

I refuse to order lamb in a restaurant now because of the much higher risk of mint being near it even if it's not mentioned on the menu.

Olives

UnctuousUnicorns · 08/09/2023 00:44

Olives, which is an anagram of "so evil". Nuff said.

UnctuousUnicorns · 08/09/2023 00:45

Crosspost! 😅

I agree regarding cranberry sauce, recently tried Cumberland sauce which I think is based on redcurrants and that was much better then cranberry and worked for the same dishes
