I think Russel Crowe is incredible as Javert

Crocs are an abomination on anybody over the age of ten.

The holes are where your dignity leaks out.

Maireas · 08/09/2023 16:44

I thought this was unpopular opinion?
Crocs are comfy and practical.

I like Friends a lot. It's hilarious but my unpopular opinion about it is that Ross was a great character and the Ross-Is-Like-SOOOO-Problematic-Revisionism needs to stop. It's a sitcom, not a moral lesson.

I love Ross too, I never heard this revisionist stuff, can you give an example.

I always thought Joey's character was pointless and unfunny. Didn't get him at all. Loved Matt le Blanc in other things so I think its the script rather than the actor I take issue with.

Courtney Cox on the other hand is just amazing and I feel very underrated as an actress

i don’t really care about the fashion aspect of crocs, wear what makes you happy.
I don’t think Crocs are comfy. I’ve worn them for work once or twice, and they feel like clown shoes to me.

I've never worn crocs.
I know on MN threads they're regarded as hideous. So an unpopular opinion would be that they're great.

Females can be friends with males…

NoSaladThanks · 09/09/2023 05:50

I've worn Crocs ballerina flats for years and I love them.

Back on topic. The best hangover cure is last night's leftover pizza warmed up in the microwave and washed down with a pint of fizzy pop.

Any adult who deliberately mispronounces words should be publicly flogged until they learn to speak correctly. The same for babying words such as hubby, holibobs etc.

Calling your pet a Furbaby.
Both Furbaby and FurbabyMummy should be pts.

I'm at a Festival this weekend and I'm going to drink more than 14 units and I'm not worried. I will detox in the week though.

DirtyDuchess · 09/09/2023 10:40

Dogs being treated like children. Leave them at home if you want to go out to eat. There are too many dogs around these days!

Maireas · 09/09/2023 14:51

Have you seen that thread where dog owners talk about taking their dogs into public toilets with them?! New to me!

toadasoda · 09/09/2023 15:01

Open plan living is really bloody annoying. Trying to watch TV while someone boils the kettle, 2 conversations going at once, no place to be alone. Bring back poky little rooms. I blame all those TV architects...

enchantedsquirrelwood · 09/09/2023 15:01

Oh I've seen that happen (taking dogs into public loos) loads of times. The dogs will get stolen in the two minutes the owner is in the loo if they don't.

Maireas · 09/09/2023 15:08

So, every single dog left outside a public toilet will get stolen?

PaulaZackMayo · 09/09/2023 15:43

I wouldn't leave my dog tied up outside anywhere on it's own. Pedigrees are worth a lot of money. Even Mungrels could be sold on and they could be used for fighting.

Maireas · 09/09/2023 16:01

Is this what society has come to? You have to take your dog into a public toilet cubicle with you, otherwise it gets stolen? Is that why dogs get taken everywhere now?

I don't take mine everywhere because I know not everyone appreciates it. I wouldn't leave them tied up though. I would be devastated if they got took and I didn't know what happened to them.

Maireas · 09/09/2023 16:10

How come people used to routinely tie them up outside shops and cafes, you saw it all the time? Who is buying all the stolen dogs?

Kids should be able to wear comfy but plain black trainers as school shoes if they want.

Maireas · 09/09/2023 17:26

I'd go a step further - I'd say no uniform at all for any children. I'm a teacher and am sick of policing it. It's a waste of mine and my colleagues' time that would be better spent on learning.
