Would you choose your partner again if you met now?

I guess it’s a question to those who have spent some time together… Knowing their character, taking into account how you both have changed physically and in personality, would you marry them?

I used to think that but truly my dc would have had a much easier life and childhood if they had had a different father. I wouldn't change them for the world now but if I could reverse time I would have made different choices. I wish their df would disappear- our eldest two are basically no contact with him.

Yes. He’s my cuddly friend who I love with all my heart. He makes me cross sometimes but he’s the only man I’ve ever truly loved, & he knows me best. I love the feel of him when he gives me a snuggle. He’s solid & warm & loving. Been married 18 years, two kids & yeah, we gripe at one another occasionally but I couldn’t do this journey with anyone else by my side. He still makes me laugh

Yes. At the start our relationship I did all the things the Mumsnet hive mind cautions against and I'm horrified now at some of the risks I took, but I made a good call. He's solid and lovely.
