Me!! Though I'm a teacher waiting for two classes results and they are probably all sound asleep! So I've decided to clean the kitchen to get me through my insomnia lol

Gosh, waiting for 1 child is hard enough, let alone 60! Hope you get a bumper crop of results for your kids!

Me! I'm waiting to find out if I passed matha GCSE, 20 years after I failed it at 16!

Cantfindutrogestan · 24/08/2023 04:05

Yes me too ! After a restless dream filled sleep. Fingers crossed 🤞

Wow! Fingers crossed to you

I'm doing an apprenticeship through work and have failed my level 2 maths once which is based on GCSE.. I just can't get it!

Me. Head of department in a core subject. Can't sleep for worry.

lula103 · 24/08/2023 04:16

Me too- another peri- moment here and can't relax and go back to sleep. Dd worked so hard and I just don't want her to be disappointed. Have been reading in the news this morning that top grades have dropped significantly. She needs a 7 to do maths and I would say it was borderline .
Good luck to everyone.

Luciansmum6 · 24/08/2023 04:16

Yes my son worked really hard, he’s not academic, and was let down by the system many times but worked so hard so I’m nervous for him and I can’t sleep… x

Frenchyq25 · 24/08/2023 04:21

Yep..awake here too. My son is not academic at all and really struggled with the exams, so I'm really anxious for him.

SomewhereWithSomeone · 24/08/2023 04:24

This was me last week waiting for my sons A level results so you all have my sympathies. I really hope they all get what they want/need for their next step.

Good luck! I’ve just signed up to retake my maths GCSE 27 years after leaving school 😝

Doobydoo · 24/08/2023 04:30

Randomly I can hear my youngest, who has no reason to be awake (bedsides being more or less nocturnal during the holidays)

scaredysquiggle · 24/08/2023 04:32

Me too.

My daughter has battled an eating disorder, anxiety, my husband and I getting divorced and an abusive boyfriend (who's she finally seen the light about and cut him out from her life) AND a school system that's failed her. She's making a fresh start this September and moving to a new school/college where he won't be at and we really need certain grades to that. Plus she was too ill to sit two exams and are at the mercy of the exam system about those too.

UnderstatedElegance · 24/08/2023 04:35

Another anxious mum here too. I've had horrible dreams when I did sleep earlier

criminallyvulgar · 24/08/2023 04:45

Fingers crossed that all your DC get the results they need. It's been a tough couple of years and I don't think the government has played fair by this cohort at all.

PandaGrump · 24/08/2023 04:46

Me!! I feel really worried about the increased grade boundaries! Their cohort was still really affected by Covid! DD did great in mocks but said she found real exams much harder!

Happyhappymum · 24/08/2023 04:55

I am awake too! Haven’t slept all night. Son worked so hard so just hoping his grades are what he is hoping for. I’m worried that it will really demotivate him if his grades don’t reflect his effort. But hey ho! I guess everything happens for a reason.

Happyhappymum · 24/08/2023 04:55

This is worrying me too!

doubleshotcappuccino · 24/08/2023 04:57

Yes ! Waiting for my twins' results ! Need to limit the coffee but need coffee ..

Completely agree

Biggest concern here is maths, if he doesn't get what he needs he may need to drop an a level and pretty much rethink his whole career path..... that sounds scary now I've written it down!

doubleshotcappuccino · 24/08/2023 05:05

@tooanxious maths for us too ! If that number is not what we need we need plan B

naughty40me · 24/08/2023 05:15

I'm awake too...

Really worried that grades won't be as good as expected due to the boundaries and so much missed learning with COVID.

I'm fairly confident he will pass enough to get into college but worried the actual grades won't reflect his effort and it will knock his confidence.

We will just have to see.

Good Luck everyone
