Anyone else up? Waiting for GCSE results

Anxious for GCSE results this morning!

Same here, he has just gone up in the rain. His cousin text him his amazing results so that was a nervous start. I just want DS to be happy so I hope he does ok for that reason.

All passed - some lower grades than expected but mostly 5 and 6. Glad that’s all done with!

We didn't get what we hoped, he got a 3 in English and 2 in Maths. He is gutted.

DD got a 3 in maths. Not unexpected but a bit gutted for her. She was 10 marks off a 4. English literature was 1 mark off the next grade up so school are requesting it be re-marked.

She's on her way to college now to find out if she can do her Alevels of choice.

How do you know the marks breakdown? We just received grades not the finer details?

She got the overall marks for each subject as well as the grade. The teachers knew their marks too, they all had a grid with each student, grade and mark for their subject.

I wish DS school did the same

DS collected results for just one, not many. Got a 6 when he was expecting an 8. 2 weeks until he can try to figure out how he got it so bad on the exam; he got 8 on the coursework. Bit bummed !

DS got a 3 in Buisness Studies, but a 7 in Spanish. I think we studied the wrong exam board for his BS. (I'm an arsehole) but he is only 14 luckily so we can claw it back for next years sitting.

Yes, a bit lower than expected here but English lit and language got an 8 in mocks exams and 6 today. Apparently though 2 points of a 7 so school have suggested remark for that and Sociology, 2 points of a 7.

So sugg sted remark for 2 subjects
