Sara Sharif

Sara, aged 10, was found dead in the family home.

The police "want to speak" with Sara's father and his partner, who flew to Pakistan the day before Sara's body was found, and then phoned (don't know who) from there:

The call led officers to the house in Woking where they found the body of Sara who had sustained "multiple and extensive injuries", likely to have been caused over a sustained period of time.

Another child suffers at the hands of those who should care. I hope they get them back from Pakistan but I wonder what the chances of that are.

RIP, Sara.

Utterly disgusting psycho people. They should take other children away and let these rot in jail forever. Incident my ass.

DailyMailsnet · 06/09/2023 22:41

Someone was behind that camera - it doesn't seem to be fixed, rather someone was holding it.

I wonder whether it could have been Sara's 13 year old brother? If so, how horrible it would have been for him.

The dad is the controlling figure and the step mum is only doing what she's been told.

I'm guessing it's the uncle that fled with them?

Rosh127 · 06/09/2023 22:45

Ridiculous comment. I’m almost certain it’s the step mum. The dad is sitting back because he doesn’t know what to do.

DailyMailsnet · 06/09/2023 23:01

I sense an abusive husband - I grew up in an abusive household controlled by my father.

Just my opinion though.

ShipSpace · 06/09/2023 23:51

Of all the desperately sad cases of abuse and murder that we have seen in recent years, the murderers making a public video to complain that the police are trying to catch them is a bit of a unique scenario.

anonymousamy · 07/09/2023 19:58

Just awful. What is wrong with people?!??

mightymam · 08/09/2023 11:32

Bastards. Their monologue was Al about them and nothing about how they felt about Sara's death. Pakistani police operates with brutality and I really hope these dickheads get to feel the full weight of that.

GingerFox2021 · 10/09/2023 23:04

I have 2 friends who divorced after abuse in the family and in both cases the fathers were given 50/50 childcare custody here in the UK. Then in both cases, fathers manipulated children badly by buying expensive gifts and whatever they wanted in that way attracting children to their side to that level that kids wanted to stay with the fathers more than with mothers.
I know their stories well in details, it’s crazy but true..

Rosh127 · 11/09/2023 09:05

This is obvs a very biased place. In most cases mums manipulate kids against the father!

Abusive mothers are real. Coercive control is not the most common form of DV. In the overwhelming majority of cases both partners are abusive.

In the video, I saw a calculating step mum and a confused father. I am almost certain it is the step mother. There is a study somewhere that shows that children are more likely to be killed by their mothers than their fathers or even step fathers.

it’s uncomfortable for most people to hear this but I am glad that the media has been reporting on cases of child deaths involving the mother because for years this just did not happen.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/09/2023 16:38

Just seen reported by BBC that the children have been found and taken in by police. I wonder if they’ll be able to say what happened to that poor little girl.

I don't get it- they're saying the 5 children were found in the grandfathers house in Jhelum- how?! This is the same grandfather who has been saying he has no contact with his son and no knowledge of his sons and his family's whereabouts- how did the children suddenly turn up?

Bramblecrumble22 · 11/09/2023 19:59

He was hiding them I think. He says noone asked about the children just the adults so he didn't say. Question is why take them now? To question them? It's Surrey police not Pakistan that are investigating the murder. Treat them badly, like a ransom for the adults? In which case I fully understand the grandfather. Or to return them to the UK? I don't think UK asked for the children back sadly, not sure it would score policacal points.

GingerFox2021 · 11/09/2023 19:59

The grandfather saw his son the first time, but no one ever asked him about children , only about the 3 adults and as no one asked him, he never told. His house was not searched before and with these interviews before he sounded he’s not lying 🤷‍♀️

I shouldn’t feed the troll but this is absolute and utter bollocks

mightymam · 11/09/2023 20:35

Absolute bollocks. I have Pakistani family and friends and they say the first thing that would've happened is that the grandfather's house would have been searched top to bottom as would've anyone's who's linked to the family. If this is what's happened as you claim- that his house wasn't searched and therefore he didn't declare he had the children, then that means the police are colluding with the family (they've perhaps taken a bribe) and only acting on 'finding' the family based on British police's pressure. They know where those three bastards are hiding but they're going to drag this out as far as they can.

Bramblecrumble22 · 11/09/2023 20:43

Police colliding with the family does make some sense. Although is taking children away from a family home (grandfather) and into custody really what British police are pressuring for? Or does it buy them time?

GingerFox2021 · 11/09/2023 21:26

"Since they came from the UK, I didn't let them go," Mr Sharif told the BBC.
"I told Urfan and Beinash that they can go wherever they want to, but I will not let the children go with you. Until today, no one had asked me about the children.
"They kept asking me about Urfan, Faisal and Beinash, no one asked me about the children."

Can you link the video clip of him saying this please

Evieanne · 12/09/2023 07:35

I have seen that, hence why I’m asking for proof he’s actually said it. Don’t you think it’s weird that he has been previously communicating with the press via a video recording but now all they’re doing is quoting him. I’m not going to join in on a pile on of an old man, especially when people are viewing this case through very British lenses, the police in Pakistan operate differently so let’s wait for actual proof to come out before we start calling this elderly guy a liar etc.

Vettrianofan · 12/09/2023 19:59

My first thoughts apart from the obvious upsetting aspect of the case which has already been mentioned by others is why on earth is a 10yo wearing make up in the photos? She's just a child. Poor kid, she must have truly suffered.

Bramblecrumble22 · 12/09/2023 21:00

Again with the make-up comment. It's literally a snapshot, doesn't mean she always wears makeup.

It's most likely not anything sinister. Kids like dressing up and putting on make up and in the age of camera phones a parent will take a photo.

I really wouldn't read anything into it.

I have a photo of my youngest (a boy) wearing his big sister's fairy costume because he thought it was pretty. And it was! It doesn't mean anything. It's just a snapshot at that moment in time.

Startyabastard · 13/09/2023 01:45

Does anyone else think that makeup looks like one of those filters?
