I did well at school, passed all my exams went to college etc, it has absolutely no bearing on being skint now.
The point of the thread is somewhere for us all to moan/vent together about the shit situation so many of us are in.

I have learning difficulties. Any job i have will always be low paid type. Others will be ik a similar situation.

It is fucking shit isnt it? I work so hard and we can't afford any nice things and most months can barely afford the essentials. It is making me miserable. I can totally understand why people kill themselves about money.

You can make stuff up if you like but the poster implying my post was anything about people who are in poverty because of disabilities or ill health was lying, and them then being abusive and telling me to "fuck off" because they were pretending it had anything to do with their situation was totally unwarranted.

The "you have no idea, do you?" comment was particularly silly, given it showed we should never assume we know anything about anyone else's situation because in fact I DO have a great deal of an idea about that given I live it every day. Assumptions never tend to go well when you're discussing things with anonymous strangers and start making abusive comments to people you don't know the first thing about.

What other way are we meant to comprehend 'do well at school, kids..' you are simply implying that the people on here are suffering because they didn't do well at school. You say you responded with this comment about doing adult phone work, which was my post. So if I did better at school I wouldn't have to do that.

Honestly, this sounds so simplistic and naive.
I have enough to pay my bills and put food on the table but only by constantly thinking about money, literally thinking twice about every single purchase I make be it even a sandwich at work, I buy clothes in charity shops, I cut my own hair, and never go away on holiday. It is manageable, but it is constant graft and I am filled with jealousy every single fucking time someone else goes on holiday.

Yes, this is the worst thing. Thinking about money every second of every day. Adding up the shopping as you go round the supermarket. It’s fucking exhausting!

I'm glad of this thread, obviously I wish none of us had to struggle but it's made me feel less alone. I owe gas/electric /water can barely keep up with shopping costs I've got school uniform to buy I've managed to get some 2nd hand but still need more it's shit really shit!!
