What popular foods do you dislike that leave people baffled when you say you don’t like it?

I have ARFID so my diet is extremely limited anyway, but anyway here are some foods that I get people saying “how can you not like xxx”

I’ll start with

Pizza
Cake
Any cheese stronger than a cheddar

Will probably add to it as the thread goes on

That other people think are great?

Raw oysters (I'm not alone in that, and I like 'em cooked)
Caesar salad, coleslaw, Marie Rose sauce = acidic glue
Thai food
Kimchi

Menopause bestowed a violent intolerance to:
All dairy 😭
Wine, cider & brandy 😭😭
Beans & pulses - didn't much like 'em anyway
Every kind of pickle - ditto

I will very happily accept all the chocolate & cake (if dairy-free), eggs and pasta you lot have rejected!

Ice Cream
Pizza
Parsnips
Bananas

Curry.
Earl Grey tea (it's the bergamot).
Raw oysters.
Most fish.
Biscoff.
Nutella.

Beetroot
Black pudding
Kidney
Hot sea food
Sushi
Carrot cake, especially the weird cream cheese icing.
Sandwiches, I hate them
Pork pie
Sweet and sour

I can’t stay mayo either…and I don’t like earl grey tea. Tastes like perfume to me

Meringue
Peanuts
Trifle
Raisins (unless they're cooked which is the opposite to most people)

Me too for earl grey, except that's why I like it! 🤣

I spent months thinking a friend didn't rinse her cups properly after washing up. It turned out she was giving me Earl Grey tea!

Milk and dairy

The former makes me nauseous just at the thought of it, as do eggs. Not keen on cheese or yoghurt, but I will eat them if I'm in the mood. Fresh milk or eggs are a total no-go though, both of them are completely revolting.

Ice cream

Bread
Cake
Carrots
Cadbury Crème eggs
Doughnuts .... yuck!

Prosecco - but I love any other fizz.
Any form of takeaway.
Mussels
Oysters
Liver, kidney etc - any offal
Black pudding
Sambuca

When I did eat meat, still hated sausages and bacon

Milk, and anything milky
Coffee
Goat's cheese, smoked cheese
Mini rolls and caterpillar cakes - I find the main brands salty.

Havn't eaten meat for 35 years, but I hated bacon and pork pies, especially the jelly.

Chocolate oranges

Salted caramel anything

And curry - over-spiced to stop you tasting whatever ingredients are hidden in the yellow gloop. And not a fresh veggie in sight. Yukk.

I fully respect your right to dislike any food of course, but this does sound a little as if you last tried curry in 1978.

Most overrated food ever. No wonder that in Dickens’ time they were considered poor people’s food.

I have a touch of AFRID.
There’s a very long list of food I can not eat and struggle to even be at the same table with some one eating these foods.

And the smell of fried onions always make me want to vom.

Baked beans ( ordinary beans are fine)

sweetcorn
cucumber

I dont really like any desserts I'm more into savory snacks. Also don't like chipper food can't stand the taste of anything deep fried.
