What popular foods do you dislike that leave people baffled when you say you don’t like it?

I have ARFID so my diet is extremely limited anyway, but anyway here are some foods that I get people saying “how can you not like xxx”

I’ll start with

Pizza
Cake
Any cheese stronger than a cheddar

Will probably add to it as the thread goes on

And it’s so hard to find decent non-mint flavoured toothpaste! I used to buy shedloads of the cinnamon flavoured Crest from USA but haven’t been there for years now. I was using Marvis until the dentist told me off.

Cream eggs

Tea. I actually quite like it iced, but the traditional hot kind with milk disgusts me. It smells like sweaty tights. People find it very, very difficult to believe that an English person doesn’t like it. They find it easier to believe that your English name, accent and cultural references are an elaborate hoax than that you are English and don’t think tea is the best thing ever.

Cake, salted caramel, rice, sausage rolls, butter beans.

The cat gets so excited every time I open a can of butter beans!

You don’t like Earl Grey with one sugar and a nice splash of milk??

Baked beans to the extent that I've actually had nightmares involving them 😂🤮

Tomato ketchup (or anything tomato flavoured / in tomato sauce, but I oddly like tomatoes)
Krispy Kremes,
Any kind of caramel,
Prosecco, gin & whiskey,
Custard

Omg, yes! Along with Hershey's chocolate - I definitely have more issues with sweet foods.

Gin and rum too. Rum and raisin anything 🤑

Carrot cake.

Cheese, chocolate and curry…..all of which my family love!

Alcohol

People talking about it constantly is really boring. I don’t care whether others drink or not, but people seem to really dislike that I don’t like it.

Strawberries

Pizza and coffee.

Gin and whisky (cannot abide even the smell of either)

I teach primary kids and they're mostly outraged when I tell them I don't like carrots. Possibly because it's one of the only veg most kids like.

It's actually only cooked carrots, I like raw ones. I really don't like any stew/casserole/soup with them in either, all I can taste is the carrots.

Apart from that I'll eat almost anything!

Earl Grey tea (love tea, just not EG)

I didn’t think I was fussy but maybe I am 🤣

Custard or f-ing flan 🤢(Texture)
The smell of papaya, which smells like vomit.
Milk in tea. (Only a titch of sugar or honey if you must add anything.)

I missed off dried fruit, so basically Xmas cake, mince pies, Xmas pudding etc
