I know right? As someone previously mentioned they are an indie bakery in Keighley - why do they need national publicity? A good facebook page with nice reviews, a mailing list at a push and word of mouth. Job done.

I have a small business making baby clothes - its just me so i can only make so many a week. A few years ago a parenting page on facebook shared one of my outfits and i wad inundated, to the point that i actually had to shut my shop down till it blew over.

Some businesses don't have the capacity, or inclination to fulfil a massive increase in orders - we're quite happily plodding along, doing our thing and don't want over-the-top exposure.

I would love to be fly on the cake when they gather round it and sing Happy Birthday.

Exactly the company doesn’t need the exposure. They are a successful business and even now when people are asking how they can purchase from her she has told them to buy from a small local business near them.

Ah yes, Catherine Tyldesley, the gifters grifter. You just need to see her Insta to recognise that. I used to follow her after she was on strictly and this is the very reason I stopped.

Im pretty appalled at Catherine Drysdale for sticking up for the company saying they’ve been misrepresented (how?! How can they be misrepresented if they have, according to her, lied about her being in OK magazine). And then saying “I hope the cake lady has the exposure she craves”. Idiot - not craving exposure is why she turned down your Princess party.

As an aside this bakery is fairly local to me and it is unbelievably good. I doubt they need exposure to the tune of, what, £1,000? When the cakes sell themselves!

Also LOL that she’s ‘well known”. I’ve seen her in a few episodes of Trollied but behind that and Corrie what has she done?!

Cath T has come over as a rude, obnoxious, entitled, sanctimonious grifter, and a massive cheeky fucker.. That video on instagram is horrific. She is taking NO accountability for this whatsoever, and is acting like NRVLND (or whatever her promoter's name is) have been 'totally misrepresented' and have done nothing to deserve this. (And she reckons she hasn't either!)

They tried to get free goods out of a small hardworking business by saying 'we'll give you exposure...' Cheeky fucking articles. Honestly, the fact she and they are not taking accountability for this just leaves me utterly goggled. She is so arrogant and rude and is not even ATTEMPTING to say sorry to this company.

What a twat. It would serve her right if she never works in TV again. She's only ever had one main role in Corrie (for 6-7 years,) and a small role in a couple of other things, and AFAIK has hardly done fuck all since she left Corrie in 2018. She's no A-lister, and is not in big demand, and this could finish her off. She's not even striking looking, she is at best average, so she will need all the luck she can get now in her career, after making a twat of herself like this.

This reminds me of when the equally odious Sam Faiers scored freebies from a small clothing business for 2 years for her kids then ripped off the designs herself

I highly doubt the party planner would have done something as bizarre and specific as asking for a smaller cake for the husband without the wife’s consent

Surely they’ve heard people knocking on a door before? The journalists weren’t chucking bricks through their window or forcing their way in.

Also she did kinda choose to be a celebrity, which invites journalist interest into your life. Especially when you’ve behaved like a twat.

Besides if she cares for their welfare she wouldn’t have them plastered all over social media.

This reminds me of when one of the TOWIE lot asked Virgin Atlantic for free flights in exchange for shout outs, except they asked very publicly on Twitter. VA’s response was basically soz babes but no.

A celeb with class who wanted to 'promote local business' would buy a load of stuff from them and then give it to a local charity. Toys for a children's hospice or cakes for a care home, or something like that.

Back in the days before crappy influencers, an actress - much more famous than Catherine Thingummy, used to visit the home for the elderly where a relative of mine worked. She would bring presents for the elderly people and spend hours talking to them, specifically asking that nobody told the media. It was just something genuinely kind that she liked to do.

Completely missing the point here but what is happening in the Instagram video? Her face looks really angular and her mouth doesn't match what shes saying iyswim, it seems a bit distorted....can you filter videos? (I'm so ignorant of this kind of thing)

I have heard Kelly is a diva anyway. My friend was at a medical appointment once when K was pregnant and at the same hospital and K wanted an area cleared in the main waiting bit for privacy.
