My DS just melted my heart

I was sorted old toiletries and cleaning the bathroom and ds wanted to help and he said ‘this is daddy’s ... ‘

Then he said ah mum has lots of green pipes

Assuming green pipes are period related, you have a much gentler/less determined son.

When my son walked in on me when changing a tampon (read, wouldn't leave me alone for 2 minutes/had to maintain the 'conversation' even when I suggested I'd prefer some privacy!) he ran off and returned with plasters and a very determined look on his face!

I had to virtually beat him away from his intention to apply them because I must be hurt.

Cant you lock the bathroom door before you change your tampon .🤔

Never occurred to me it was something to hide TBH - plus, he was 2 or 3, so I didn't shut any doors on him as a rule, just in case.

Kids are older now, but at least when I warn them they talk to me from outside the door.

I can understand being mildly amused but feeling heart warmed is odd.

Green Turtle 🐢 is a make of tampons that are more environmentally friendly as don't contain plastic. I much prefer period pants myself.
