My DS just melted my heart

I was sorted old toiletries and cleaning the bathroom and ds wanted to help and he said ‘this is daddy’s ... ‘

Then he said ah mum has lots of green pipes

@Saucepot1985 the majority of people with autism struggle with communication in some form. You can dislike it all you want but you were extremely ableist in how you communicated that yourself. Perhaps you have some issues of your own, I dislike judging people based on their being prickly but you went further than that.

Tampax Super tampons (cardboard applicator) come in green wrappers. I'm 99.9% certain these are the "little pipes".

I shouldn’t of used foul language in my initial quote and I don’t dislike people with ASD. I just found some of the comments on here so rude and judgey towards the OP and it happens on most threads, it’s quite awful. Unfortunately whether you like it or not, some people do use ASD as an excuse. I have several in my family who do it. They say rotten things and then say sorry it’s my Austism. No.

Never mind the bum fight between posters, why would a child calling tampons be 'heart warming'?

I can understand being mildly amused but feeling heart warmed is odd.

Used the non applicator ones and mine called them mice because of the string I was bemused, but my heart didn't melt

Sorry @Dombasle but ‘bum fight’ has really made me laugh. I think I would like to see bums fighting. I also agree with you it’s mildly amusing, assuming we have deduced that the ‘green pipes’ are indeed tampons. I have an idea for a new Irish ☘️ instrument. Give us a tune on the Green pipes.

I know. I stepped away for a while afterwards and have returned to apologise for saying that.

I don't she with a single thing you said on here and suggesting people are using a disability as an excuse just shows your ignorance but i am sorry I didn't step away sooner and I should not have used that language towards you. It was an absolute failing in my part.

It's not an argument btw, you were making ableist comments and being nasty towards people who have a communication disorder. That's not ok.

I think we should just draw a line under it. It’s gotten out of control and I probably should have articulated myself better as I appreciate how the comments have come across, which is a failing on my part too.

@Saucepot1985 I do not use ASD as an excuse, I’m very happy to be told when I’ve been rude, even happier if someone takes the time to explain to me why what I’ve said is rude as I genuinely don’t understand a lot of the time and I spend a lot of time feeling very stupid for it. If you have people using ASD as an excuse to be rude in your family I can understand why that would be infuriating and make you feel like it is used as an excuse by everyone. I should not have called you a cow either, I am sorry.
