Foody city breaks?

Looking to do a city break with my husband and no DC in Oct/Nov. Specifically interested in a foody place.

Would be flying from London so an extra bonus would be a destination served by City Airport!

Already had foody city beaks in:
Barcelona, Copenhagen, Palma, Edinburgh, Florence and Lisbon so not those.

I know Lyon is meant to be France's capital of food but not sure what it's like? Any other ideas?

Has anyone been to San Sebastián?

Go to San Sebastian. It's wonderful.

I’ve had a few days in San Sebastian. It was amazing and food heaven.

we did a lot of the haunts from the BBC series with Fred Sirieux, the tortilla (out of this world) and the steak.

Anthony Bourdain did an episode there too.

Fabulous wine and beautiful city.

DH & I went with two other couples and stayed in an apartment right in the centre.

we are doing Lyon next year so it’s reassuring to hear that mentioned so much.

Milan would be a good choice from LCA.

Antwerp has some lovely restaurants also, and lashings of history to keep you occupied during the day. Belgian beers are another treat.

My top recommendations:
Italy: Bologna and Genoa
Spain: Valencia (although I haven't been to San Sebastián)
France: Lyon and Beaune

I'd also say Reykjavik but it was v expensive!

You could also check out Stanley Tucci for recommendations in Italy.
