If i'm checking out of a property at 10/11 am and new guests are arriving 3ish ... there's no way a hot tub is going to be drained, cleaned, refilled and heated in time.
^ Actually we do every single time..
I am waiting for 10am and as my lovely holiday guests head off, l go straight to the garden,
Drain the wood fired hot tub (30 minutes) into the hedges, whilst it is draining l refill logs, firelighters and matches and clean the table, chairs and lid. Check the uv, and filter pump.
My cleaner and l spray the hot tub, wash a side each, rinse several times, vac out the last bit of water ..(30 minutes)
Start refilling at 11am.
Full by 12.
Fire lit at 12, topped up every 30 minutes until guests arrive at 4pm.
Guests get a bottle of champagne to enjoy in a clean hot tub..
Meanwhile in between fire top ups, l am up and down to the laundry for the 6 loads of washing, putting in and out of the tumbled drier, and ironing.
Sumultaneously my father is cutting the 1/3 acre guest garden, and my cleaner is cleaning non stop for 5 hours. On the dot of 3pm l help her with making and re -ironing the bedding in situ and doing a final check.
It has to be planned with military precision, and l am always surprised people don't realise the hard slog to get an entire home, garden, hot tub, parking area, drive into show home condition every single booking!
This is why it is selfish to not check out on time.
We take great pride in never cutting corners and have great cleanliness reviews, but it is very hard work.
I don't mind if my guests have sex in the hot tubs, as they are away from anyone else. In fact l want them to have a fantastic time !
