So there is the obvious one, pancakes bacon, maple syrup and blueberries.

Then the classics fruit cake and cheese - if you haven’t tried it you really should.

Peanut butter and apples.

What combination of foods that sound like they won’t go together but really do, do you ike?

Bagels with peanut butter AND cream cheese

NuffSaidSam · 22/07/2023 10:42

Carrots and peanut butter also excellent.

I think what we've learnt so far is that cheese and peanut butter go with everything.

Drews · 22/07/2023 10:43

Strawberries and balsamic vinegar

This is something of a classic, but I'm always awed by how well blue cheese and pears go together.

dates & bacon
bananas, smeared with mustard and wrapped in bacon

Adding flaked almonds to scrambled eggs.

StayAnonn · 22/07/2023 10:48

Lots of posh cheese and fruits so far so I'll bring the tone down a notch.

White bread sandwich with salmon paste (the super cheap sandwich filler stuff in a jar) and salad cream.

I was going to say exactly this. I hate blue cheese but had poached pears with blue cheese melted over and it was delicious. Goats cheese and honey too.

Feta and watermelon.

Absolutely a killer combo. Top it with balsamic pearls.

AdaColeman · 22/07/2023 10:53

Blue cheese on plain chocolate digestive biscuits.

Blue cheese on ginger thin biscuits.

Cheese and black cherry jam.

Silver skin onions in a dry martini.

Anchovies in a rare roast beef sandwich.

Cheese and pineapple!!

MrsSamR · 22/07/2023 10:55

Malt loaf with extra mature cheddar cheese. It's how all my family eat it and I thought how everyone did until my husband informed me it isn't! The sweet malt loaf and savoury salty cheese is delicious together...damn I want some now!

Also cheese and apple. Just cheese and anything really...

The banana thing...what possessed you to try this one day?

Jongleterre · 22/07/2023 10:57

A slice of Margarita pizza with squeezy Marmite drizzled on.

If no Marmite, a sprinkle of roasted and salted cashew nuts.

If no Marmite or cashew nuts, roast some broccoli with oil and salt until slightly blackened and eat with the pizza slice.

gingersnappz · 22/07/2023 10:58

Prawn cocktail wotsits and hummus

MrsMarieMopps · 22/07/2023 10:58

Tried the roast lamb in a hot cross bun at Easter this year. Game changer.

Fish fingers and custard is a joke surely?!

My dc used to dip McD's fries into milkshake which made me 😮but they said was delicious.
